What if, as a consequence of the veil tearing, that everyone in Thedas gets some level of magical capability? Every race, every class, gets magic capabilities in some form. And in future DA games, the class system of warrior and rogue and mage, all use magic but in different forms (ex: Warriors using fire blades, rogues combing spells with arrows, mages using standard casting spells -- just a few examples)
Opinions, thoughts?

I believe they are referring to the Tranquil being restored.

Remember how Karl described Anders as "bringing a piece of the Fade to this world" and that restored him?

Now the Fade is, literally, in the real world and I believe every Tranquil will have their emotions and magic back until the Breach is closed.

Somehow I get a small Legend of Korra vibe from that.

But sure, would sound intriguing, especially the consequences and how people will deal with the situation.

I assume you are referring to the subsequent return of airbending once Harmonic Convergence ended?

How awful would it be if the fade tear is the only thing keeping Tranquils from being tranquil, and they try to prevent you from closing the tears because they don't want to be tranquil again. D:

(Please, Bioware, don't make DAI a "Flowers for Algernon" story. *sob*)

You'd assume correctly.

Loosely based, but a funny thought nonetheless.

Awesome. I imagine they'd want it to stay that way and they will rebel against the Inquisition.

Magic in DA is more than new combat abilities.  Unless this also includes the extermination of spirits and demons, the world would become incredibly chaotic.  It's hard enough for trained mages to avoid demonic possession, but if every non-dwarf suddenly had a deeper connection to the Fade?  I don't see how previous non-mages would be able to cope with that...

Please no. God that'd be sad.

Personally, if the Tranquil attempted to prevent the Inquisition from closing breaches, I'd have no problem cutting them down.

Preventing a demonic apocalypse take precedence over some people's emotions.

Nice idea, tough. Would like to see it inplemented.
