There is no defending the Mako. The fact that Biovar was too lazy to design ground vehicles for the other races doesn't mean that a Quarian tank wouldn't be obviously superior. Kal'Reegar can take and dish out more punishment than the Mako, and he's just one Quarian.[...]

And seriously, with all the life support necessary, I'm sure the Quarian would easily forget about fitting a cannon on their tanks in the first place. So they would need to get out and fight on foot. Resulting in jumping pyjak style all over again.

 

And the reason we got this photoshopped pic of Tali, was, because the original was so engrossing and hideous that numerous people of QA fell unconscious on the spot when they saw it.

Conjecture

Krogan have no animosity toward Quarians, just Salarians and Turians (possibly Asari too because of their complicity in allowing the council to use the Genophage). Turians can defend themselves well enough, but we already know from Wrex that Salarian livers are considered delicious to Krogan. Ergo, evolution takes its natural course and Salarians get eaten without the Genophage to protect themselves. There is no canon reason Quarians or anyone else would be eaten.

 

Conjecture - this is based off of one possible outcome of the many outcomes possible in mass effect 3, with incorrect information at that. We know from the past that a Genophage free Krogan populace is a major threat to all Citadel races combined, humans excluded, and that they love to fight more than anything else. 

 

Quarians naturally have adaptive immune systems initially prone to allergic reactions, not necessarily weak ones. That came from living on sterile ships for 3 centuries

 

Allergies are due to a hypersensitive immune system. 

 

Quarians invented the Geth as laborers and tools of war according to every codex entry ever. It stands to reason that the basic infiltration unit is of Quarian design.

 

So Quarians developed Tactical Cloak 300 years before anyone else? Tactical Cloak is necessary for a GI to be what a GI is.

 

IRL comparisons are irrelevant. Every Quarian weapon except the Adas is the best weapon in its class because Quarians are superior at engineering things to make things dead. Arc Pistol was always good, scrubs just couldn't use it

 

If IRL comparisons are irrelevant then you should never have compared to the Mako to a real life tank. You can't just change the rules whenever you want in an argument and not look like a fool. 

 

Young Quarian, you never played ME3: MP before post buff Arc Pistol.  Don't forget your manifest is public.

 

You should learn to hold your liquour and not make silly threads like this. Even Tali could probably drink you under the table.

You don't know when the TC was invented in universe canon. AFAIK it is never stated but it is reasonable to assume that anyone who can master the construction of fully evolved sapient AI's and Special Relativety violating FTL macguffins could probably master light bending optical camoflage that doesn't even work that well, considering similar things already exist.

IRL comparisons are irrelevant. Mine was obviously made facetiously to humourously emphasize how awful and pointless the Mako is, while you stated that modern earth firearms are better than the space magic employing ones in the ME universe without explaining why, thus my assumption that you were likewise taking the ******.

Anyone with a rudimentary grasp of simple mathematical calculations can look at stats on a spreadsheet, compare them to those of other weapons, and draw conclusions about the Arc Pistol pre and post buffs. It was still a fine piece of Quarian engineering and among the best weapons in the pistol class in most respects, if not the ROFLcannon it is now. You really shouldn't be telling others about constructing arguments with"lol u werent there" logic, unless you invented math.

First, your ideas on conjecture are wrong. I'll give you an example:

 

Fact - In the Mass Effect Universe the Mako exists.

Conjecture - In the Mass Effect Universe the Quarians would have made a better mobile armored transport vehicle than humans.

 

If you use this logic go ahead and look back through the quotes and see which ones are facts and conjecture relative to the universe of which they are describing. I did throw in conjecture about the humans and the Salarians rivaling Quarians in tech, I'll admit that.

 

 

Have you ever fired real guns? Real guns are more accurate than nearly all the non-snipers in the game, are more controllable (mostly due to ergonomics), and often lighter than represented in the game. Real life guns tend to have higher capacities, and innate piercing depending on the cartridge. Of course the video game completely rejects the science of terminal ballistics and ignores the sheer potency of high velocity projectiles. 

 

 

I love that you bring up the math on the Arc pistol because if you did the math you would see the base damage for an Arc Pistol charged shot at the beginning was 71.1 * 3 * 2 = 426; 71.1 damage per projectile * 3 projectiles * 2 charge bonus. The current Arc pistol has a base charged shot damage of 96.5 * 3 * 3 = 868.5. The gap becomes wider as you start adding mods, gear, and headshots. A huge buff in itself was the Heavy Barrel adding another 15% damage over the High Caliber Barrel to take even more advantage of the 2-3 multiplicative bonuses the Arc Pistol receives. Oh, I almost forgot that the encumbrance was also lowered twice. The Arc pistol was not only barely decent in the beginning, it had misleading statistics in the in-game menu.
