I was playing around in Diablo 3 a bit looking over my crusader over and thinking about how much I hate her head piece, I've been using vanishing ink to make it invisible, when i got lucky and picked up the crown of the black king. Now for those who haven't played it in Diablo 3 reaper of souls you can change a piece of armor to look like another piece so long as you've held that item once before. So now I'm pretty sure I've found my crusader's had for quite some time to come. It got me thinking though.

What kind of hat would you like your Inquisitor to wear? Do you prefer a full helmet with face guard or do you prefer something a bit more reliant on magic for protection?

For me I want to see my character's face and hair. I do like it if the item in question does something to convey the Inquisitor's authority. So a crown or tiara is fine. Now for a qunari what I would really like is some kind of horn decorations. Perhaps silver strands that are imbedded in the horns themselves.

I was going to make a joke about Dragon Age's history with hats but I decided I wanted to answer this :P

I want to be able to see my character's face completely. Anything that could hide my character's expressions/face during cutscenes is a no-go. I usually just hide helmets altogether or just don't wear any. Hoods/tiaras are the only head gear I can think of that are alright, but there are so few of them, and even those are pretty ugly most of the time in Dragon Age (poor mages).

An enchanted circlet or a leather hood.  Maybe a mask of some kind.  Bulky, functional military-style helmets are a no-no.

I like hoods, sometimes I like helmets, but I never like silly hats.

I'm counting on a toggle to make the headgear invisible.

I'm reminded that one of the major reasons to have a mage go arcane warrior in origins was to avoid the head gear. I'm not sure who thought those things looked good.

Until I play Inquisition I have no opinion as all my protagonist are allergic to ugly and clunky hats and helms

That's why the hide helmet mod for Origins is awesome, hahah

I love circlets. Otherwise...eh. Hoods are cool, but they never look right to me.

I always liked the cloaked hood, I see there will be hoods of some sort in the game so peaks my interest.

I'm fine with most types of headgear, like hoods, helmets, masks, circlets, etc. No silly mage hats though. Usually I just turn off the helmets entirely so I can see my PC's face.

The best way to get people to take you seriously is to wear a gargantuan hat.

I would like them to add headbands as headgear.

Is it wrong that I always wanted Viscount Dumar's crown from DA2 (though it's probably part of his actual headmesh)? I just love that thing. It's so regal, and I feel like an Inquisitor who thought of himself as god (which one of mine will #CultoftheInquisition) would really do well with it.

I so often use mods to change the appearance of clothing and armour I honestly don't remember which equipment was from the game and which was from the mods.

If this isn't involved I will be sorely disappointed.

I always liked half-helms that cover mostly the frontal top of the skull and leaving the back of the head exposed.

(Can't find the image, sorry)

Badass hats, like Dragon's Dogma has.

Or hell, remember this promo shot a long ways back of Inquisition and what I assume was a shot of a human Inquisitor wearing an awesome hat?

Hey, I think that's a concept art of the hat the Inquisitor is wearing in the third pic... Maybe (screenshot has a buckle on it but the artwork doesn't). Either way, another excellent example. More badass hats!

I personally liked the mask like helmets from DA:O. I hope they make a comeback.
