Basically, across your Origins playthroughs, what's the state of Fereldan across your playthroughs?

 

Is Alistair on the throne? Is he hardened? Is he married to Anora? Is the Warden his Chancellor? Is a Female Cousland his wife? Is a Female Warden his mistress?

 

^ Same applies to Anora.

 

Here are my playthroughs and states;

 

1) Alim Surana Elven Mage:

-Hardened Alistair and Anora marry jointly

-Warden is Chancellor

 

2) Darrian Tabris City Elven Rogue:

-Hardened Alistair and Anora marry jointly

-Warden is Bann of the Alienage

 

3) Lyna Mahariel Dalish Elf Rogue:

-Hardened Alistair and Anora marry jointly

-Warden returns to Dalish Clan

 

4) Kaitlyn Tabris City Elven Rogue:

-Hardened Alistair is King, (Anora locked up in Tower?? Hope she's executed lol)

-Warden is Alistair's Mistress

-Warden is Bann of the Alienage

 

5) Aedan Cousland Human Noble Warrior

-Warden marries Anora, becomes "King-Consort"??

-Alistair remains with Grey Wardens

-Warden returns to Highever with Fergus

 

6) Elissa Cousland Human Noble Rogue

-Warden marries Hardened Alistair (Anora locked up in Tower)

 

7) Daylen Amell Human Mage

-Hardened Alistair and Anora marry jointly

-Warden becomes Chancellor

 

8) Natia Brosca Dwarf Rogue

-Hardened Alistair and Anora marry jointly

-Warden returns to Orzammar

 

9) Duran Aeducan Dwarf Warrior

-Anora is Queen, Alistair banished

-Warden returns to Orzammar

 

So yeah pretty much most of my playthroughs include a Hardened Alistair and Anora on the throne. The best of both worlds in my opinion. Some variations include my Cousland Wardens marrying into the throne, and only once did I have either Alistair or Anora rule solo.

I've seen pretty much every outcome, but my preferred state is:  Anora rules alone, Warden acts as chancellor

The one I'll be inputting into the Keep has Alistair on the throne with Loghain dead and Anora locked up. My female Cousland rouge went traveling with Zevran before becoming Warden-Commander in Awakening.

2) Bran Amell - Anora ruling alone, Alistair made the ultimate sacrifice.

 

3) Astrith Aeducan - Alistair and Anora ruling jointly.

5) Runar Brosca - Anora ruling alone, Alistair banished.

 

6) Surinn Tabris - Alistair ruling alone.

 

7) Ithelin Surana - Anora ruling alone, Alistair still in the Wardens.

 

8) Aedan Cousland - Married to Anora, Alistair executed.

 

I've never actually had a Warden become Chancellor - they all had other stuff to do. (Like running off after Morrigan, or being dead.) Never had anyone become Alistair's mistress, either, since my Warden who romanced him was a noble. As you can see, I've done most of the other variations.

I've also seen most, if not all, outcomes. But I prefer to have a hardened Alistair rule alongside Anora. Loghain I usually wind up killing - either at the Landsmeet or sacrificed to the Archdemon just to spoil Morrigan's plans.

 

That said... I am tempted to keep him alive for my first playthrough (as well as going through with the DR) just to have as many potential cameos as possible.

Main playthrough: Alistair King and Hardened, Anora as wife, loghain lived but died in the Ultimate Sacrifice so Alistair basically hates my warden, and my warden did not become chancellor nor the Ban of the alienage.

Unhardened Alistair married to Anora. And since I only played the game once, that is it.

I've completed so many playthroughs, with all the possible permutations of who's able to convince/marry whom, that I've lost track of what my own head canon is! 

 

I think I favour A&A ruling jointly, but have no idea what I'll establish as my world-state for my first run at DA:I!

I have several world states planned with various outcomes, but I think Anora rules solo in most of them. Erik (Hayden's world state) thinks Alistair is incompetent and doesn't bother stopping his execution, and Syrus (Samahl's world state) is uninterested in forcing him. Hilda and Lenera (Revas and Issala's world states, respectively) both make him king, but the latter has him betrothed to Anora as well. I haven't designed the world states for Meraad and Mana yet, so I'm unsure there.

Human Males (non-mage) -  all of them married Anora, except for one that romanced Morrigan.. that one supported Anora but didn't marry her.

All the others - supported Anora.

 

i dislike Alistair so i've never helped that guy... need help facing your long lost sister?  Nope. I've got more important things to do, like having my mabari bring me cake.

He always ends up a lowly little drunk in Kirkwall in my headcanon.

- Alistair King, married Anora.


Agarath Amell - Male Mage:
-Alistair rules solo (so Amell can influence him to be pro-mage)

Lazarus Cousland - Male Warrior:
-Killed Alistair to ensure he rules throne with Anora.

Naria Brosca - Female Rogue:
-Killed Alistair to ensure trade deals with Anora.

Dorgon Aeducan - Male Warrior:
-Killed Loghain, made Alistair solo king, had Alistair die against archdemon making Anora queen solo.

I think I probably have at lease one of every state over the course of my playthroughs, but my 'canon' state would be a Hardened Alistair + Anora joint rule.

I lost my save games a while ago when updating my computer and forgetting to take along my BioWare game saves, so I only have the one where I put Anora on the throne and left Alistair as a Grey Warden.

 

Although at the rate I'm going I wont be through DA2 by the time Inquisition shows up.

Hardened Alistair is always king and Anora is always queen... Okay, she's not always queen. If my Warden is a female Cousland, she is queen and Anora is off having a pity party in some tower. Utterly winning the Landsmeet except for the guy who always sides with Loghain even though Anora turned on me because I wouldn't support her is GLOURIOUS!

It's not something my characters tend to care much about, so I honestly don't remember for many of them.

 

Hopefully the Keep will lead me through the decisions and job my memory.

Good thing there's no save import, then.  You can just recreate your world states in the Keep without having to play through the previous games.

In both my Origins playthroughs Anora is sole ruler. Both my wardens romanced Alistair and remained in the Wardens with him.

With the number of playthroughs of DA:O that I have, I've seen every possible outcome here. However, the two Wardens I have imported into DA2 who I also intend to recreate with the Keep are:

 

Human Male Cousland, married to Anora, Loghain alive, Alistair dead.

Human Male Amell, Alistair rules solo, Loghain dead, Amell looking for Morrigan.

 

The second one is to see how things will be different. I consider my Cousland playthrough as my main ("canon") world state.

Fun list!

1. Alistair executed. Warden is king consort with Anora as Queen, takes off with Morrigan in the Witch Hunt DLC.

2. Alistair executed. Anora Queen, becomes Bann of Alienage.


I did two others, but I don't remember how the thrones ended up. I always execute Alistair.

Warrior Coulsand as prince consort - Alistair as drunk.

 

City elf as the power behind the throne with unhardened Alistair.

One thing I noticed across all playthroughs is that Fereldan will likely have another succession crisis in the future regardless of what you do.

Anora is implied to not be able to have children. Wardens rarely have them. No chance of two wardens having a child by all accounts. Amusingly a male Warden having a child with Morrigan may present a possible candidate but that's a very unlikely scenario. 

All said in done, all you likely accomplished in any playthrough is a short term solution to Fereldan's ongoing political issues. Of course the main goal was saving Thedas from the larger threat, not safeguarding the current line of succession.
