Volus solo can be hard, depending on maps/obj types, some objectives are hard to reach when you cannot vault over obstacles.

On platinum, saber quarksman can be pretty challenging depending on map/enemy. It is pretty damn tough vs. cerberus, simply because headshots are the only way you can stagger phantoms (and every enemy, unless you rely heavily on sabotage's backfire), and you can't even force them to bubble up for piercing headshots.

Yes, Dragoons would be a pain too. As you did, Collectors are a best choice for him IMO, or maybe Geth, to take advantage of sabotage as much as one can do.

Cerberus are the easiest faction if you put the ADAS on him

I'm going to give two answers for Platinum:

 

QFE 

Drell Vanguard

 

QFE is (imo) one of the most well rounded characters in the game. She lack high offense and defense, makes use of one of the worst pets, has one of the best debuffs, blah blah blah. Basically she is so well rounded that she lacks any crutch to accentuate that would make Platinum solos easy. 

 

Drell Vanguard - if you don't know how to use it amazingly, you die. You die again, and again, and again. So despite the fact that some people can use it to extreme proficiency it is still one of the hardest to solo with for all but the best.

For me it would be the Human Engineers and Rio.  I found I could never rely on my pets (drones) to do/go what/where needed.  But any class is solo-able if you have patience and keep up with where the enemies are scattered around the map.

for me was Shawdow Cerberus Ghost Gold      was my 1st completed solo    was before Geth Scanner was around and my build didnt spec into slash   took me 8 attempts

In all honesty, I found the Quarian Marksman really hard; should be easier if you're more accurate, though. Warlord must be quite tough, as well.

Any vorcha with no points assigned, no equipment and a avenger. Gear can be anything. Tried that once. Didn't get past the first few minutes of wave 1

I would cheese the hacks with this setup   ! More generally, any objective would be hard with setup. And non-objectives waves too... and extraction.
