In that case I have no idea if it was the Revelations version. It was just her with brown hair and ponytail.
I haven't played any of those games, so I'm guilty of just pulling up two images of her and compared them.

Here's Jill in Re5

And here's her in Revelations...

Her face was perfect before, then they messed it up. And I hate her voice in Revelations as well. Her Re5 voice just fit her so well.
Heh. I actually really like her face in Revelations.

I liked the Jill with the tank top, I don't even recognize those two.

To each his/her own, I guess ![]()
And unlike her previous incarnations, she conveniently has her zipper untied for cleavage effect. Classy Capcom.
Have you seen Rachel? Definition of Capcom class right there.
Every woman character post-Shinji-Mikami-Resident Evil has their cleavage out. It sort of signifies the franchise's downfall in terms of quality I'd say.To each his/her own, I guess

I wish they'd remake other games. We've already got an HD remake of the first game on the Gamecube.

I remember reading some of the notes from the Re5 artbook, and on the page with Jill's battle suit and control device thingy it said something like...."We could put it on her chest to show her cleavage." Gotta love that.

Too much effort for Capcom. They want fast money since they're desperate, and fans have been asking for this for...oh, 12 years?
Since I never played the 2002 re-make this is pretty cool. Haven't played a Res since 5, heard 6 was pretty terrible. Anyone have thoughts on Revelations? Is it worth going through? Thanks.
This pleases me.
I hope this is successful and Capcom continues with HD remakes of 2 and 3.
"It's Forest!" Announces Barry Burton while starring directly at the woods, surrounding the outskirts of the mansion, conveniently covering up the deceased corpse of the actual person that is being referred to. "It's awful" responds Jill Valentine, in a very unconvincing, seemingly, concerned tone. "I'm gonna find out what caused Forest's death.. It looks like he was killed by a crow, or something" concludes Barry Burton, demonstrating his vital and intuitive detective skills once again.

To be fair, Chris got objectified by Capcom more often than Jill. Can't beat bondage Chris and Short short sailor Chris. In Resident Evil 7, They may just let him running around in a pair of underwear. And unlike her previous incarnations, she conveniently has her zipper untied for cleavage effect. Classy Capcom.

I'm really looking forward to this game, anything that has to do with Resident Evil has my interest usually, especially the classical editions, those were much better imo, real survival horror and if the graphics are improved then I'm satisfied with that, cause I can always play those over and over again, I don't need anything new added to it, not that I would mind it of course, that would only be a bonus to something already perfect.

And there is nothing wrong with that.
Hey, I ain't complaining. And there is nothing wrong with that.
I don't think you know what the concept of being "objectified" means if your above quote is anything to go by. There's a difference between power fantasy and objectification. Objectification refers a person as a thing, whose sole purpose is to look good and satisfy the pleasing wishes of others, without regard to their dignity. Chris Redfield isn't beingobjectified, to appeal to all the wominzz whom clearly play Resident Evil, yo! He's delibarately being buffed up to attract all the white-bread males, his design and character is wish fulfillment to appeal to your average male power fantasy. To be fair, Chris got objectified by Capcom more often than Jill. I'm sure every man would love to see themselves wearing a pair of short short with a half cut sailor shirt. You're right, it's every man's power fantasy.

May be power fantasy, but he does have great leg though.

Chris is one of the most popular gay video games characters, and if his yaoi images were to go by, there are a lot of women as well. While I don't deny the power fantasy aspect in certain characters, Chris is definitely has a fanservice thing going on.
I was gonna say that I thought Helena Harper's outfit was okay in RE6, but I realize now that her shirts were unbuttoned as well.
I see, so when men are being objectified, it must be a joke or doesn't happen? That's very interesting perspective there. Whatever flow your boat, I guess. I know about the power fantasy so no need to explain it to me. Since male is the primary consumers for video games for a long time, of course there would be more fanservice of women and power fantasy for the men; however, men can and have been objectified and sometimes it's not even about the power fantasy. There is an element of it but simply dismiss it entirely as non-existence is just close-minded. While it's true that women have been objectified more, there is an element of what define as sexy on according to gender norm. I find men in power fantasy actually a lot more attractive than scantily dressed men while women in sexy costume is more about look. Gender roles often created a standard of sexy in a lot of people in which sexy in a man is more about power and masculinity while sexy in a woman is more related to their femininity and look. Biologically speaking, males are more visual, so fanservice for them would be more about the look, the porn industry wouldn't survive without them, while women are more on the cognitive and emotional so fanservice or materials gear toward them are more storytelling like yaoi (porn with plot and romantic setting) or Twilight. I took classes on gender norms at UCLA, so while I may not know everything, I have some basic research knowledge on it. I would rather keep on open minded on the discussion on the topic of gender, but if you think fanservice of males doesn't exist then we have nothing to talk about.
