The villain in KotOR was clearly Malak. Also, the PC in KotOR is unaware that he has amnesia.

But that seems too anti climatic and stupid. Thank God that's not the case.

Oh it would be great, except Bioware have already done it expertly before and long time fans (such as myself) would see it coming from the other end of a Primary Mass Relay at which point Sige Golem sized Hell would break out on the forums

@The Heirophant:  Do you mean that the Chantry actually created an alternate reality, dangerous mage hating beings to inhabit it - and then punished mages who found out the truth by turning them into Darkspawn so they couldn't tell anyone?

Like some others said. You being the OGB or you being possessed by a fade demon when exiting from the fade. Its simply too obvious and cheap

they kidnapped Warden and Hawke to study people before an invasion, and the breach is really the beginning of an attack. and the only reason the Inquisitor's hand glows is because they are part alien. 

 

oh and all the monsters we fight are actually aliens with changeling tech....just cause..

At the very end of the game all the remaining fade rifts join, the whole fade suddenly completely manifests in Thedas, drops from the sky and crushes everyone.

A group of Nug led by Schmooples is behind the Veil Tear, they plan to wipe every civilization in Thedas so their glorious empire could rise.

Big bad is defeated then a city sized asteroid rips through the worlds atmosphere.

The mages say they'll stop it if the chantry will leave them alone. The chantry want to form a committee before deciding. The asteroid doesnt wait, hits and wipes out almost all life on thedas.
the dragon age is ended and the ice age begins.

Another plot twist that would make this series jump the shark is if lyrium turns out to have as many color variants as kryptonite.

The fade tear just ends up being something the mages did in an attempt to win the Templar/Mage war. The main antagonist who did this has very convoluted motivations that don't make any sense.

Thedas cannot be saved, and the fade spirits decided to troll humans with the Inqusitor for the lolz.

The Inquisitor is a Fade Spirit/is sustained by a Fade Spirit and dies when the main story concludes

 

Closing the Breach unleashes an even greater disaster on Thedas.  The Inquisitor essentially Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu'

 

All the Inquisitor's efforts ended up playing into the Big Bad's hands, somehow.

 

Just because it's on everyone's minds, anything even remotely resembling ME3's endings.

 

Varric goes nuts and blows up a Chantry.
