Final mission: your companions die one by one, each of their deaths unpreventable, as you journey to the final bawls. Right before meeting the final bawls, you find a bag of very valuable lyrium diamonds. When you reach the final bawls, the Elder One, in a portion of the fade aptly known as "Heart of Darkness", it is revealed that he is in fact a very very good dude. And he's a dwarf. The Elder one explains to you of the civil war between 2 demon factions, the APR and the UFLL, and that the fade rifts are in fact gateways for demon refugees to escape teh fade. He then gives u a bag of lyrium-splosion dynamite, meant to explode and close teh fade rifts so that the APR and UFLL demons can't follow the demon refugees. You get to choose whether you want blue lyrium-splosion or red lyrium-splosion. If you did particularly well in the gaem, Da Eldar One even offers a bag of green lyrium-splosion, even though there is no such thing as green lyrium before this point.
On your way to close the fade rifts via splosion, comes the plot TWIST!!!! that your companions are in fact not dead! All thirteen of them (including the 3 advisors, and Morrigan, beacause) emerge from behind a little rock, and demand you give them the shinies (the bag of lyrium diamonds). You auto-dialogue: "No YoU!", your companions turn on you, and you fight back, and they die all over again. Regardless of your colour of choice, you realised that the remote detonator broke during your fight, and therefore automatically stay behind to detonate the lyrium dynamite. After a small explosion from a distance, a random reporter demon narrates the ending, finally ending with: "You're Winner!"

You catch on early that one of your companions is going to betray you and/or is a spy and cleverly arrange things so that the betrayal actually works in your favor while making that companion look like a complete moron. They then try to convert to your side but you say "no" and kill them.

The Elder One is the Maker, and you have to fight part of the Chantry who still follow him even after they learn that he's behind all of this. Then you go into the fade and the black city is the final dungeon and Red Templars are part of this new chantry who are still following the Maker, and you either have normal Templars or Blood Mages following you, then you kill the Maker but it turns out that he is your father and he is a demon that leads the demons and Andraste is a spirit that leads the spirits and there is a civil war or something between them, and then it's revealed that Leliana is Andraste and your mother and you're 1/3 spirit, 1/3 demon and 1/3 whatever race you are, But then you find out that without the Maker, the Fade and Thedas will collide into each other and will cause both of them to be destroyed, so you become the Maker and sacrifice yourself because that will somehow stop it, because plot. Then the Fade becomes an alternate dimension of Thedas and becomes a real, sane world and the spirits and demons turn into different races and don't just wander aimlessly. But without the fade all the magic fades (lol) from Thedas and all the Mages lose their powers, but it doesn't cause them to be tranquil and actually reverses the effects of Tranquility, but the new Fade still has it's magic, and if Mages go there they can regain their powers and try to link the fade to Thedas more tightly so new Mages are born in Thedas, and that leads into the story of the next game. And that's my take on the most generic and stupid story possible.
And then are Hapally Ever After

You are beat Age of Dragons ! ! !

10% health, all the sudden it cuts to a video of real live people. It is Robin Sach's funeral. The video is about an hour long, as you sit there watching his family grieve, appropriate quotes from his characters in bioware's games are spliced in.
At the end of that, all the sudden you are 6 inches from Aaron Flynn's face in a plain white background. He exclaims "ALL THE FEELSUH!". The camera pans out to reveal his stark naked body. The room starts strobing red, blue, and green lights at seizure inducing speeds. An amateur dubstep remix of a Justin bieber song starts playing. He twerks, with the writing staff running in to join him all also naked. The camera randomly zooms in on gaping buttholes while this is going on.
In the distance in this video you can see a man in a suit but is too blurry to see. He is obviously saying something but you can't hear him. Within hours, frenzied internet denizens clear up the image and extraploate the audio. It's EA's CEO, laughing saying he enjoys snorting coke off hookers rears while on his yacht and plans to keep doing so. Buy end of the game DLC for only $19.99! The URL is printed on his tie.

O.o I'm hoping that no dev stumbles upon this thread....... Or alternately that all of them do simultaneously..... MAYHEM!!So here is the scene. You got the big bad at 20% health. It is about to have the long awaited comeuppance, you see the end of the game and then see an epilogue telling the results of the choices to get there.

It was actually all just a huge MMO RPG video game all along, but with such advanced AI and tech that the people in-game never realized all of them and their world and history was just a game's background setting.
If you want to know what other game series I stole this plot twist from, click the spoilers-

Not quite an ingame plot twist, but still...
At Gamescon BioWare announce they're going to change to the unreal Engine, they say they don't expect the game to be delayed very long with this change...

Not following the "Cliché Chart" was not the reason DA2 was shat upon. It's Kinda impossible to make a top quality Triple A Cinematic RPG in just over a year (Thanks EA) so it was the limitations of an INSANE development schedule that held DA2 down. Not a lack of boring Cliché's.

The Inquisitor is revealed to be the spirit known as "The Elder One" and has been building up its power throughout the game. During the endgame, it transforms into a dragon or demon and your 3 companions are forced to battle and kill it.

AT the end of the game you have three options: turn the fade rifts red, blue or keep them green.

The dragons have only been trying to help save everyone from the fade but no one understands this until the last one is left gasping out its last breath. Thank-you Inquisitor for killing the only hope of salvation. The realm is now doomed and the fade takes over.

Turns out the Inquisitor is a Harvester type creature made of various Thedosian heroes including the Warden and Hawke.
Or you have to fight a Harvester made of various Thedosian heroes including the Warden and Hawke, which is sad... and gross.
