I'm not sure about adding new ones, but I've changed some of the existing ones that I didn't like and would never use.  The way I did it was: I copied the UTI files from the mod into a new module (I recommend using directory mode), made my changes to their properties there in the toolset (under item Blueprints>Properties>Armour Set), then copied them back into the Appearance Changer folder in my override.

to add new

/coffee

I don't think there's been any updates since Jake's.

Occasionally i add an item -- but this is a nontrivial matter. It involves (not comprehensive?)

- creating a blueprint, that works properly in game (note its baseItemType).
- naming it according to the CIAC convention, and storing it someplace appropriate, in \Override (eg, a subfolder of CIAC).
- incrementing the appropriate constant in 'vn_mda__inc', then recompling all the CIAC scripts that use the constant (for simplicity: all of them).

/2 coffee. If you really want to bang your way through it i'd Likely help out. But frankly, unless a weird mood takes me I choose from what's offered. Although, decking Safiya out in a custom red dress, red hat w/ feather, and a curly staff is ... uh ... is uh

omg why do i do thse things??!!1

i've been thinking of adding some other items to the mix. there are a ton of really good community created items and i like this system for obtaining those items, it doesn't feel some much like a cheat. using the console to have item just appear in you inventory just rubs me wrong. i have heard that the process is pretty involved though and have gathered the courage, or been able push aside feeling overwhelmed, to get in and do it. hell i'm not even sure how to create a blueprint... honestly i don't think i'm ready to take this on. if i find one item that i cant live without i'll come back to this and use said item as a trail.

thank you for the info!!!

ok,

it doesn't feel like 'cheating' to me at all. If anything sometimes I think i should charge a coin or two but that's it. The item's properties transfer over very well (surprisingly well, imo). And once the CIAC is open IG, it's like you've transported into some fashion clothier's shop, and are role-playing again.

if anything bugs me, it's the generic inventory icons. Sometimes I'm tempted to go through the blueprints and just change those icons to something better.

'welcome

sorry i didn't explain myself well. the reason i like Charlies Appearance Changer is because it doesn't feel like cheating. vs other mods where you have to use the console to get the stuff.
