I hate to say it but I've got a bad feeling about Leliana.  I've loved her since origins but from the trailers we've seen she seems decidedly more sinister and ruthless.

Also there is something about that Vivienne that makes me think she might betray us.  They are putting a lot of emphasis on how 'ambitious' she is.

thoughts?

I agree but I do not care. Never really felt anything when Morrigan, Isabela, and Anders did something. Still like those characters.

Gotta love Varric.  I've got a feeling Iron Bull and Dorian will be trustworthy as well.

Hmm. I think Leliana has been hardened by life and her career path since Origins, but I don't think she'll betray the Inquisition, especially with her very rooted role in it. I could be wrong, but I still think Leliana is very idealistic about "fixing" the world, especially from that quote in the demo of hers. She may no longer believe it's possible to reach her goal by being completely diplomatic, but I don't think she's turned bad.

I think the fact that the world is being threatened by people instead of mindless monsters might have contributed to her hardening. It's one thing to stay optimistic when you are fighting the Darkspawn. It's another when some guy blows up a Chantry.

We don't know Morrigan's role in the game yet.

If she is established as an antagonist from the beginning, then she cannot betray us (by virtue of her being presented as someone who already knowingly opposes us).

Morrigan will betray, and I believe she's the "equal force opposing from the beginning"

I think any companion could betray the Inquisition if they think the Inqusition runs counter to their goals.

If Morrigan is presented as an antagonist early on, how can she betray us? Betrayal occurs between allies, not enemies.

Oh I don't really disagree when you put it like that.  If Leliana were to betray us I think she would be doing it for what she feels is 'the greater good' and all.

I never said she'd be presented as an antagonist, only that she is opposing from the beginning. She can feign friendship while working against them

Yeah, I could more easily see her turning if the Inquisitor turns the Inquisition to take extremely cruel and/or sinister methods, if possible, much like the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest. But I don't think Leliana will have any ulterior motives by default. I also think by now she may be more open to cruel methods to get what she needs, she probably has much more wiggle room in that respect in contrast to her very moral stance in Origins.

It was easy to distrust her in dao not to mention now.I can see easily her stab us in the back in the end for example for chantry or divine if she survived and try to take over inquisition and give charge over inq to the chantry. She already did tried to kill us because simple warden did something she didn't liked now she seems even more fanatical.

I can't really personally see or agree with that stance, but I'm not going to discount your opinion or anything. I think more than her faith, the chantry, the divine or anything this time around she just wants to put the world back into one piece.

People with hair have more places to hide things.  Therefore bald folk have less to hide.  Therefore you can not trust hairies.

Well as i said at the end (or possible before) she may pull that especially if inq didn't had good relationship with chantry. She have motives and is involved in rather sinister stuff with chantry and divine i wouldn't be suprised if she up to something even simple because she is still under divine command and see inq as pawn.

As far i divided characters on those who have motives to stab us in the back , those who are uncertain and we don't know much about and those who don't have motives to stab us ine the back.

I dunno. I'll draw a conclusion on this when I actually meet and interact with these people.

If I was to choose one from what we know at the moment however, it'd be Vivienne - pretty much solely because they seem to be drawing attention to her 'true agenda' of some sort. Which could very well be to bring Orlesian fashion to all of Thedas, which, in that case, I'll go along with it.

I don't trust Cole and Iron Bull.  Demons and Qunari both seem unpredictable.
