I think it would be cool if  at one point you choose to do something very harsh, and it causes a lot of casualties, you catch Varric in the middle of the act. You then have to decide his fate (killing him, forgiving him, banishing him, etc.).

Have to agree, Vivienne and Bull are the less trustworthy ones so far. It feels like having them in the team is like asking for the knife in your back... more or less.

The dwarf. Short people are not to be trusted.

Cole and Dorian. Cole is obviously a murderous parasitic monster to anyone that can separate the story of the dead child it mimics from the creatures real actions. I think it's tastes might have become more sophisticated since the events from the book. Should be interesting exactly how it does turn on the Inquisitor. Dorian is a Tevintor. Much as I'd hope he was some kind of catalyst for reform in the Empire, it's difficult overlooking the culture he is accustomed to.

Maybe Solas, but even with the little nudges from the devs, I'm hesitant about suspecting him. Sera and her friends might have something up their sleaves. A larger more organized elven rebellion perhaps? More power to them if so. Blackwall may be under the influence of Corypheous or even the Architect and not even know it. I think Vivienne wants to be Empress, Damn the circle. Leliana is in full Machiavellian mode now. It will be interesting to see how the fate of Marjoline will affect her in Inquisition. The Iron Bull's adherence to his mission is precisely why I am not very sceptical of him. It's likely that the Qunari will invade if the Inquisition fails so that they can stop what the Inquisition could not. Until then, he needs to gather as much useful info as possible. Can't do that while sabotaging the mission.

Cullen is well...Cullen. Not a lot of intrigue involved with him I don't think. Cassandra is a romantic. I've a feeling even if she were ordered to, if the Inquisition is just she would not betray it. I don't know much about Josephine, except that more than any other NPC she is best positioned to betray the Inquisitor, especially in epilogue. The pen is mightier and all that. No motive comes to mind though so she's a dark horse so far a suspected betrayers.

I'm a bit iffy with Solas and Cole. Just because one of them is in the Judas seat in the main party picture :P I'm also a bit leery of Dorian, just because he's from Tevinter. I imagine everyone is going to join the Inquisition for some shady reason or another (except Cassandra)... so I'm going to expect SOMEONE to backstab me at some point!

Everyone's probably going to betray me because I made some stupid decision.

Can I change my answer to this?

If this were the case of the evil bald people syndrome, bull, solas, vivienne,

In my personal opinion, not sure, I don't get betrayal vibes from any particular character we've seen so far, I feel given enough provocation every character can and will leave, but unprovoked betrayal, hmmm... I don't really feel that at all.

I agree with this. I don't think anyone is going to turn on us inevitably. If it happens, it will be due to making a particular choice or handling a crisis moment in a certain way.

The characters I'm currently unsure about are only Morrigan and Vivienne, the rest I can put trust into fairly easy

Certainly people with their own agenda and who are very ambitious about it are to be looked carefully at.

Also, anyone with a mustache is not be trusted. I'm looking at you, Dorian.

Morrigan.

My god do I love her, but we still know next to nothing about her. What is her agenda? I feel like she'd do anything for her cause and if that means betraying Inquisition, so be it. :( Perhaps in some situations, she might. I'm sure we will learn about her mystery and OGB/Baby, so.

I think it will be PC dependent. Those who are particularly d*ckish will probably have more opportunities to receive a knife in the back. My impression is Vivienne but that's more based on my dislike of ambitious diva-type characters. Also depends how one defines betrayal...a companion leaving the party due to conflict of ideals doesn't count to me.

If I had to pick somebody who might be the one to actually be working against us I would say perhaps Solas.  It sounds like he has opinions that seems to question everybody elses, he has a different and unique perspective on things (especially when it comes to the fade and demons/spirits).  What if he thinks in the end what you're doing with the tears isn't for the best and he has other...ideas on what is better for the world.  What if he decides what is happening with the breach opening is for the best?  I do like Solas, but his specialty and everything just seems so convenient.

A more obvious betrayal I can see is Iron Bull, perhaps he'll pull a Zevran, in that if your approval isn't high enough by a certain time/plot point, he turns on you.  It really seems like he will have to make a choice about the Qun somewhere down the road.

You know, the more I read about Antiva in general and Josephine in particular, the less I trust Josephine. She's a diplomat, her job is to get her way without getting into open conflict. It takes a master manipulator to pull that off. I don't fear outright betrayal so much as lack of genuine loyalty.

The only one I really mistrust at this point is Leliana. Everything I've seen of her so far screams ''Anders'' to me.

Everyone's probably going to betray me because I made some stupid decision.

I suspect the Iron Bull will at least get a scene where his Qunari intelligence handler orders him to either kill you or let Qunari assassins into Skyhold to do the job.  Whether he'll actually DO it or not is another matter.  We shall see.

Wardens are a slippery creatures, they will involve themselves in matters beyond their stations occasionally.

I would have to say Morrigan because I never fully trusted her (or her mother either) and probably Vivienne because they keep stressing that she has some sort of agenda. It makes me suspicious.
