Well my default world state is with Alistair and Zevran both killed, and Loghain as a Warden (as that was my first one). I'll be importing that first, if I decide to play through DAI again I'm sure I will try out different world states to see how much is affected. I could never play through an entire game of DA2, so I will probably just pick something random for it's options.

Man I wonder if they kept stats on how many people let Anders live, nothing I've ever heard/read leads me to believe it was many people.

If the payoff from performing the dark ritual is decent enough in my first DAI playthrough, then the dark ritual will always be part of my DAO world state.
If the dark ritual payoff is unsatisfactory, then I will let Loghain sacrifice himself from then on out.
Also, Alistair and Anora are always co-rulers of Ferelden.

Also, will never let the siblings die in the deep roads, it's bad enough Leandra always gets perma dead.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. From what I can tell the people who kill him are much more vocal about it. They usually go into the "very strongly disagree" category. Whereas people who let him live can be less opinionated about it.

That's what I said about Wynne and Shale after my warden murdered them, but then Gaider wrote this book where they do all kinds of things that dead people can't normally do, so idk.Anders being dead will never change.

I let Anders live in my initial campaign as a Rogue Hawke, as I could not play well enough without his abilities. But as I improved in gameplay, all other sessions were without his assistance.

Idk, I've just never seen anyone or talked to anyone who let him live. I figure it would be like Loghain. I know its people like myself that just can't even entertain the thought of letting him live. However I've seen threads where people have romanced him, made him a Warden, not to mention the numerous threads about whether he was justified or not in the things he did.
Never seen anyone defending what Anders did of saying they let him live.

I'm betting, if they released the numbers, more people let Anders live than killed Alistair...

I think my rogue hawke did as well.
I'll never anull the circle. I tried it once and reloaded.
Everything is whatever I think best fits my character as I recall.
I've sided with horrowmont and bhelen at different times for example, made loghain a grey warden etc.

My mage Hawke didn't kill him because even though he was like "YEGODS FUUU ANDERS, WHYY" ultimately that was another mage and (more importantly) a long time friend. Not like killing Anders was going to put things back together at that point.Idk, I've just never seen anyone or talked to anyone who let him live.

I did. My reasoning was that he helped Carver find the Wardens and prolonged his life. So I let him walk. A life for a life seems like a fair trade. And yelling at him in the Gallows when he shows up with his tail between his legs is priceless.

all of my play throughs are like this. I tend to play a specific way and stick to it. The only thing I MIGHT not do would be something that killed a character because I want them alive if they are in the next game or later in the game I want to see that content. Except Loghein. He dies every time. And I always side with the mages, i don't like the templars trying to run stuff and oppress them.
I also don't think I ever let Anders live.

Eh... isn't that a controversial stance for the next Arishok to hold?

Aside from the one DR playthrough all my wardens made the US. So most of my DA:I world states will probably have dead wardens.
That and Loghain is executed by either Alistair or my warden. I side with the circle and werewolves.
Varric is best buddies with Hawke. I side with the mages but still kill Anders and I recruit Fenris but let him sit in his mansion so I can fight and kill him in act 3.
edit: Well I guess I shouldn't say I've never budged on these as I've tried most of the other options at least once. But now whenever I replay that's what I always do. The only things I haven't done out of those 2 games, is let Loghain live and annulled the circle. So I guess those are the real things I haven't/wont budge on.

Ohhhh! Well played sir. It's ok when we do it. Qunari honor Saarebas. What they have to go through and the dangers. Humans make them tranquil.

Gotcha. The Templars were just doing it wrong. Yeah, it's probably better to take them down a peg so the saarebas can be properly contained. lol

Mine is selling Fenris. I just can't quite think of a good enough role-playing reason to sell Fenris back to Danarius, especially for a measly five gold.
That said, I have a hard time siding against the mages, and killing Anders. He's my dude.
But I have done so, because I had good in-character reasons to do so. But not with selling Fenris.

Loghain always dies.
DA2 sibling always lives one way or another.
Also, on my last playthrough of DA2, I turned Isabela over to the Arishok for the first time ever to see what it was like. At first I was going to reload and not make it permanent, but her dialogue made no sense so I decided to keep going without her. I was really angry that at first she says something along the lines of "I don't want you fighting my battles for me." Then when you agree that she has to face the music herself, she starts to rage about what a traitor you are
Perhaps I misinterpreted that whole scene, but I thought she was being such an enormous hypocrite that I decided the Arishok could do whatever he wants with her ![]()

The only one I can think of is saving Sten in Lothering. Did anyone leave him to die?
Once, by accident. I didn't have enough persuade to convince the Revered Mother, didn't have Leilana along, and couldn't pick locks. I thought "Naturally, I'll come back after I level up a bit" and went to the Mage Tower. You can guess the result.
I'll second/third/etc never letting the character formerly known as Anders survive. Half because of the massive character assassination he took in DA2, half because he's just a twit that made things worse for pretty much everyone in Thedas, including mages, save for the Qunari.

i pretty much switch it up with each playthro. i'll have my main playthro and then the next playthro will prob be like the opposite of that playthro and then other ones just depends on what kind of character i role play as. i dnt think theres really anything i don't change form game to game. altho i do usually keep all characters alive unless it just didnt work out that way. cuz then u can see whats different with that character from the choices you changed. not that it is sad or even sometimes hard to make certain choices.
