Is this something we start off with and can possibly upgrade to maintain stats and keep the same kind of look for our character throughout the game? I'd like the Inquisitor duster, some overly large steel gauntlets, and a pimp hat please for my rogue inquisitor look.
Question. I really like the jacket the Inquisitor characters are shown wearing a lot

From what we have been told so far we can keep the same style of armor and weapons throughout the game. We can keep the style and up grade the materials of the armor. The upgrades can change the colors and patterns, but keep the same look. Their has been no news on armor dyes, but I get the feeling they will be in the game.

Yep, that was what I was hearing as well. It's great since it allows us to keep the armor we like the look of in my opinion. It's certainly better than the evolving weapon system DA2 had for some items while others didn't evolve (mods helped with that).

Wait they evolved? I thought you just went from one green man skirt to the next till you killed the high dragon, and beat the game an hour later.

I like the look of it. I wonder if it comes with matching boots, gauntlets and headgear to give us a bonus for wearing matching armor like in DAO and DA2.

Some weapons and a few character specific accessories leveled up with you, I think they are all DLC ones however.

From what was said, weapon/armor aesthetics are separate from their stats, i think through crafting we can make take the stats of an item we have and forge it into any aesthetic we want.
