is there an easy, or relatively easy way to change the overall tint of the body or head for character creation purposes. i have Always Summer and a number of heads and with some the contrast can be striking. most are fine as i can play with the in game tint till i find something i can live with... then there is the Drow... the heads i have and like are a dark ashen color, at its darkest, but the body is the flat black, onyx color. i'd like to get a better match between the two.

I've tried to get npcs heads and body colours to match and found that even if you have the same skin colour as their head for them naked plus their feet and hands it's still different and it takes quite a bit of messing around with the tones in the toolset and even that's not perfect. So I think that bodies naturally come in at a different shade from the head and seeing as this is really the part you're tinting in the character creation bit it could be impossible.

Maybe tinting the armour might be a better way as armours do have a colour on them that effects the skin bits showing.

i knew perfect was not an option, and i'm ok with that. but the difference was just to horrifying to deal with and you dont realize how ugly the stock heads are till you come across nice ones. it's ok though i found a head i can deal with and it matches the body well enough. thank you

The main reason for the most striking visual difference (especially with dark-skinned characters like drow) is a difference between the alpha channels of the tint maps (which control how strongly the skin and other parts can be tinted) and the specular channels of the normal maps between the head model and the armour model (which control how light reflects off of the skin and other parts).  A lesser reason is a difference between the actual skin tones in the diffuse maps, and another reason can be a difference between the specular settings in the actual models of the head and the armour.
