Bullshit.
Too many times have I seen professional rage gellers run out of gel by wave 5 and when they eventually get smoked and bleed out, they blame the team for it. Almost as fun to watch as someone who bleeds out on wave 10 during a difficult objective because they're out of gels. I'm sure that their team benefited immensely from their gelling.
I'm not saying that one shouldn't insta gel, some situations do call for it- about to get stomped, died in open ground where a revive would be too risky, killed by a lurking turret and don't want team mates to follow the same path or because you just have to get revenge on that stupid sneaking guardian.
But to say that one should insta gel all the time is ridiculous.
My gel rules:
If I'm down, I wait to see if anyone revives me - my gel may save the game if I need it later.
I'll mash with enthusiasm but will gel with 1/4 to go if no-one gets me.
Unless it's late in the wave on waves 1-5 as long as the team is strong.
I'll revive instantly if I'm about to get stomped.
Or if another player has already bled out or another goes down.
Liberal use of ops pack during the first wave
That way you don't get downed wave 1 and look like a scrub

I've been known to use several ops packs on wave 1 for precisely this reason. And the proper rule governing when you should use medi-gel is just this- anytime you die, and you have some.
If you're playing with a team of biotics, you should equip a fast firing weapon with disruptor ammo. Taking down enemy shields will make their biotic explosions even more effective.
Even better, consider spamming chain overload on everything.
Does BE damage stack if each teammate stack their Warps together on an enemy, or not? And does the Warp get rewritten if different teammates shoot a Warp on an already Warped target?

no. it will be a 6x6 regardless.

Any biotic detonation will unprime a biotic primer. You can't detonate unless you reprime after a detonation again.
I think the question is "what if 4 people all cast Warp, then detonate, do the debuffs stack for a more damaging explosion"
dont blow up my turrit , or kill my geth prime after im controlling him agggggh ,.

Excella wants to keep Fabrice all to herself.

Related question: two players cast Warp on a Brute. I then Shockwave the Brute to detonate Warp and get a biotic explosion. Is the Brute still primed with Warp?
Related related question: does the way it's done in the game make sense?
On topic: Hunters will try to cloak to avoid your melee attack. Prevent this by putting them in Stasis before they can cloak.

The Brute is not primed anymore. You'll need to reprime it first.

If four players all cast warp (with expose) on a target and then someone detonates a biotic explosion it will do 60% more damage than normal to the enemy.
Sorry to disrupt the thread with a fact. ![]()

mmmmm......... Really?
mmmmm......... Really?
Yep. Four Warps then a Throw is 843.75 * 2 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.6 for a 6075 damage biotic explosion.....(excluding the damage from the five powers involved themselves).....(assuming Gold difficulty).....(only against enemy armour or barriers).....(assuming the four Warps are all from different players).....(assuming the Expose evo is chosen by all the Warp users).....(assuming the Detonate evo is chosen by all the Warp users).....(assuming the Detonate evo is chosen by the Throw user).
What's not simple about that? ![]()
I confess, I'd always thought that there was a global maximum of 3 as to how many times the same power could stack. I can't remember why I always thought that, but I did.
If there are 4 Lashes used on a Phantom at once, will it cause her to be ripped apart from arms to legs?
And if you are at extraction don't dance out of the area without keeping an eye on the clock - partial extraction: d'oh...
...and I did once run to extraction on Dagger punctually getting there with 5 seconds to spare...
to find the other three were standing at the correct other extraction zone ! double d'oh...

Did not know that.... I think that is obvious that one player cannot stack warp by itself...
For the sake of argument, having 4 players with a primer and detonator, is it more efficient to do prime+detonate twice than warp 4 times then try to explode?

My rule: don't become the 1st guy that get downed, ever. Even if that means using ops packs or running from enemies.
After someone gets downed, then I don't feel guilty about getting downed too, and so I tend to play somewhat more recklessly, hahahaha.
A QUESTION:
I know that taking cover creates a Damage Reduction effect, but my question is this: will it also take effect on occasions where you are already harmed by a DOT? For example, will the Warp DOT effect from Banshees gets reduced if you take cover after you get hit by it? From what I can see, I assume yes, but I am not really sure.
