PSA:

If someone in your PUG lobby puts up 170K with a kit, then you switch to that exact same set up the very next game and score 40K. Don't worry, it's because of lag and in no way reflects your skill level.

And when the rest of the lobby discovers you've already left before they even get out of the match tally screen, we'll just assume you got disconnected or are busy trying to send friend requests.

Remember to rage gel often enough in the first few waves that you can't get up when downed during the later objective waves. This allows you to spectate and shout helpful advice into your mic at the pugs trying to clutch the waves without you being there to act as a decoy help.

Or, if they turn out to be cheesing it without your interference help then you get a handy break to make coffee.

A level 12 Juggernaut with no gear is an instant plat ready setup. Make sure to always heavy melee everything and spec out of siege pulse

You don't spec out of Siege Pulse, you max it out for damage reduction and then never fire it.  Haven't you ever played the Jugg before?  GAWD!

If you're the only one in the hacking circle in a team of 4, democracy wins; you should do what the other 3 are doing.

Liked for Drell, Salarian, and Smashian (New Official Name as of now for those two). Liked very much for Venom.

Strong disapproval for Collectors, but hey ho.

Pretend to be a girl to lure one into your lobby, then hit on her using Krogan headbutting. They all love this on ps3!

You do realize that the "girl" was really another dude pretending to be a girl to lure you in... right?

The Wikia also says that a well timed Shield Boost can be used to avoid a sync kill the in same way an Ops Pack can be used. Which makes sense, because Shield Boost is basically Ops Pack as a power.

The way my Ops packs work reads: Hit this button to make a cool noise, decrease your ops packs by 1 and get a birds eye view of your characters lifeless body.

It only works against phantoms and brutes. The other sync kill animations are longer than the I-frame duration.

Sure about that ? I think that one time an ops pack saved my life from an atlas sync-kill.

For Banshees, Praetorians and Scions, yes, the sync-kill animation is definitively too long.

Speaking from my experience. I have saved myself from phantoms and brutes, but never from an atlas sync-kill. Whenever I tried, the corpse just laid there shining on the ground.

With a bad enough off-host delay it is possible but not probable. It's less common than being able to still control your character in a Banshees sync kill.

Yes, I did too from Phantoms and Brutes. For the Atlas, the timing is maybe extremely tight, I don't know. Unfortunately I think that I wasn't recording when it happened.

The first poster who has a video with a resurrection after an Atlas sync-kill obtains a like !

Operative part being "in the same way" - Ops Packs don't help against the longer sync kills either, do they? Or did I let that crab eat me for nothing yesterday?

LOL @ trusting anything at all ME3 related....  But the idea of quoting the wiki was to discuss the claim.

Stick to walls when heading for extraction, and depend on auto-targeting to ensure you hit pesky swarmers.

PSA:

It's best to complete all weapons based challenges with complete strangers. Most people that don't who the hell you are will quickly realize that your not being helpful is based solely on you trying to take down Gold level enemies with a Katana.

In most cases they won't even be annoyed that you don't have any friends and chose them to burden with this massive time suck. And while it's very rare, some strangers will even rally around you and shout encouragement as you feebly try and kill a full health Banshee with a Predator V

Go get 'em champ

  • If you are playing platinum and someone in the lobby has selected an adept or engineer that cannot use the incendiary glitch, kick them. Otherwise, good luck making it past wave 4
  • Swarmers take additional headshot damage if you shoot them in the eye
  • Hunter Mode is not very useful for what you have to give up. Losing 50% of your shields means you will have a hard time surviving against even cannibals and assault troopers. You're better off putting those points where they actually matter (fitness)
  • If you are new to the game and want easy credits, just preset your lobby to Geth. Any difficulty will do. Geth have no sync kills and for that reason they are the easiest faction in the game.
