I'd love some foreign origins. A chevalier or bard from Orlais. A crow from Antiva. A soldier from Nevarra, a warden recruit from Anderfels (they have 1000's anyways), a mercenary from the Free Marches or a Tevinter Mage. Those would all be fun to try out.

I'd like a werewolf origin :o A person that lives by himself and tries not to eat too many people. Wohoo, oh how all would fear you!
I'm currently working on one, but it will likely be a stand-alone instead of game addin:wizard::wizard:

Why would a qunari warrior or a Tevinter Mage even be interested in joining the Wardens or saving Ferelden????

Let's stick with origins that MAKE SENSE.

Of the top of my head - for the same reason Dalish got involved - because they've been already tainted and Joining is the only way to delay death for some 30 years. In case of Quanari, he lost his sword to the Darkspawn, so he can't go back home and may as well fight for the land that 'took him in'. I'm sure something equally reasonable can be made up for Tevinter Mage.

Let's stick with origins that MAKE SENSE.

You sound like that guy I knew who only scored 30% on Raven test and raged that the stupid thing didn't make any sense. I say - just because you don't see the pattern, doesn't mean it isn't there.

I thought the whole point of the origins was to introduce us to the world of Ferelden and to an extend Thedas. It was a new game and it was a perfectly reasonable way to make players learn a bit about the lore.

What's the point doing that in DA2? I would prefer to continue my save to be honest.

Definately apostate. Templars hunting you and some friend using blood magic to kill them. You're friend could be the blood mage you find dead in Lothering.

Or how about an origin where you start out as part of a dragon cult. They could choose you as a sacrifice and you have to escape.

Mabey for a dwarven paragon origin you could be in a fued with the royal family and end up having to leave to escape an assasination.

Got another origin idea:

Child of an apostate and vessel of the soul of an Old God (or short description: Morrigan's kid)

Really bad ideas.

Just let us continue our save from DA:O, maybe add one or two more origins in DA2 for the same reason as the Orlesian Warden in Awakenings.

DA2 should have a Pirate Origin and Dalish Keeper Origin.
