It will be interesting if yor inquisitor is Dalish....mage especially .
...I expect the battle ttorial will be the meeting with Cassandra:)

The whole Advisor cast is just ridiculous, it's like a freaking mafia. A hand of the Divine, a Templar and a political advisor that is great friends with hand of the Divine and was appointed to the position because of that. Like wtf? I don't like andrastians and the Divine! We even have another hand of the divine in our party that we can't get rid of. Just fml - My Inquisitor.
It would've been interesting to have more diversity from the Andrastian humans who mainly comprise the companions and advisers.
It was founded by the Chantry, Organized and supplied by the Chantry and you want...The Chantry to what, Allow non Chantry assets in it's inception?
Some time after the events of Dragon Age: Asunder in 9:40, the Inquisition is reformed. Like its ancient predecessor, the new Inquisition is an independent body, beholden to none. The chantry begged previous inquisition to join its cause. The chantry is the economy and social while the inquisition is the military and the chantry is obligated to aid the Inquisition, especially now that its the last power the chantry has any say in.
It would've been interesting to have more diversity from the Andrastian humans who mainly comprise the companions and advisers.
._. Because they make up most of Thedas?
Seriously its just common sense for Humans to be commonplace in the realm where they are the dominant race.
This isn't the Dwarven Kingdoms or the backwoods of Thedosian Mississippi, This is Orlais.
._. Maric's enchanted blade did, and quite easily.
The Mage freaked the **** out when his barrier was cut through and shattered.
Fixed. Magic was at work regardless.
Like its ancient predecessor, the new Inquisition is an independent body, beholden to none.
Yeah you keep thinking that.
An Army Marches on it's Wallet and who holds the purse strings here?
._. Maric's blade did, and quite easily.
The Mage freaked the **** out when his barrier was cut through and shattered.
Well you know what that means right? The mage sucked.
I think the original point is correct, and the easiest (and most obvious) way it could've worked would've been for Josephine to be a mage. Why not? Cullen is a Templar (Warrior) , Leliana is a Rogue, it really only made sense for Josephine to be a Mage. Would've made her that much cooler too.
Yeah you keep thinking that.
An Army Marches on it's Wallet and who holds the purse strings here?
That's not my sentence, quote of developers.
Besides if chantry does not help Inquisition its pretty much game over and they can kiss the maker's arse from there. Its their last hope, chance, everything.
Well you know what that means right? The mage sucked.
Eh, He was your standard Circle Enchanter level.
So basically among the strongest of Mages at average.
Well you know what that means right? The mage sucked.
Yup - should have just casted fireball to knock the dude and set him on fire and run away ![]()

Hmm what about the whole group of Templars, who train for years to counter mages, dying to a single spell. And by dying i mean exploding and mixing their flesh with melted silverite.
You know which story I speak of, right?
Magic 1 puny mortals 0
._. Because they make up most of Thedas?
Is that supposed to be addressing something I said in particular? Because I voiced my opinion that I think it would've been interesting to see more diversity among the available companions and advisers, I wasn't asking a question.
Seriously its just common sense for Humans to be commonplace in the realm where they are the dominant race.
It's a fictional piece of work where the composition of the main cast of the story is entirely in the hands of the creators.
This isn't the Dwarven Kingdoms or the backwoods of Thedosian Mississippi, This is Orlais.
Orlais is simply one location the player ventures to, and that has absolutely no bearing on my stated opinion that I would've preferred to see more diversity chosen for the makeup of the main cast of companions and advisers.
That's not my sentence, quote of developers.
I am aware, and even they admit the Inquisition is behold to the Chantry for Growth and survival.
Besides if chantry does not help Inquisition its pretty much game over
And it's Game over when the Chantry cuts off the power, When the entity funding an army ceases its funding, an army dissolves.
After all, its rare to find an army with enough land holdings to supply and feed the hundreds to thousands it contains within.
It's pretty clear to me, both parties depend upon each other massively and without one or the other, things would go poorly quickly.
Yeah you keep thinking that.
An Army Marches on it's Wallet and who holds the purse strings here?
See in this is also the point where Bioware lied for some reason. You want the Chantry to lead, that's your story? Sure, fine, just say it. But they had to go - ''Noo, you don't have to listen to the Chantry! The inquisition is independent!'' Yeah right..
Eh, He was your standard Circle Enchanter level.
So basically among the strongest of Mages at average.
Erm, no.
Can we even make a Dalish mage? We couldn't in DA: Origins -sadface-
Either way, I look forward to my Inquisitor being challenged in his anti Chantry/Circle viewpoint. I hate when everyone is all 'buddy buddy'.
Yes, you can. Laidlaw showed a picture of an elven mage.
Because not everything needs to be symmetrical
I'm glad Josephine isn't a mage

So it does work both ways but remember that the chantry will be dissolved too and pretty much the world will end. So as I said obligated to help because the alternative brings more destruction to chantry than the Inquisition. They can always raid, loot, get bought by nobles etc... maybe they'll weaken but they wont get obliterated like the chantry.
Through the sternum perhaps, but no sword is sharp enough to breach magic.
Well, technically, there are instances of mages forming magical shields in front of themselves and these being shattered by sword.
Then, of course, there's the Rock Armor spell which can be pierced.
Yup - should have just casted fireball to knock the dude and set him on fire and run away
Good thing Maric cheated and used Mage Bane then, Makes it impossible for those Cursed Magic Users to focus on much.
Hmm what about the whole group of Templars, who train for years to counter mages, dying to a single spell. And by dying i mean exploding and mixing their flesh with melted silverite.

Magic 1 puny mortals 0
Is that idiotic thing still canon?
Whatever cite, that trash if you wish.
People bash Stolen Throne, but i would rate it leagues above that.
Also wouldn't it be "Punny" Mortals 1 as well, considering a mage died in essence to a bunch of herbs and a hunk of metal.
Also ._. Punny Mortals brought down a Empire ran by Mages, so i would grant them far more then zero considering, the Punny Mortals completely obliterated the Imperium, its a shell that isn't even a tenth of it's former size.
It's a fictional piece of work where the composition of the main cast of the story is entirely in the hands of the creators.
Indeed, and in this fictional piece of work, the world that the PC and its organization interacts with, is primarily Human.
To just stick to the Universe, of the created work, such a thing would have to be done unless if it was focused elsewhere.
Orlais is simply one location the player ventures to, and that has absolutely no bearing on my stated opinion that I would've preferred to see more diversity chosen for the makeup of the main cast of companions and advisers.
it has plenty of bearing if you consider the work in question is focused upon the realm of Humanity for the most part, this isn't a game primarily focused in the Deep Roads or Dwarven Kingdoms or wandering bands of elves, its focused in the greatest empire of Humanity.
Yes, you can. Laidlaw showed a picture of an elven mage.

Correct. The better the mage the better the shield. And a sword has a limit.
