#1 How can I make my party start with absolutely nothing at all in the cleanest possible way? I don't want that starter armor or staffs.

#2 How can I get the bleeding system as it works in SOZ to be in place? Should be just a few option boxes I thought but not currently working.

In the future I'd like them to get negative hit points but not bleed just to give a little bit of a death buffer, but that's for another day.

try looking at pack***.2da's

also chargenclothes.2da

pretty sure modifying those is relatively straight forward e.g. changing a 1 to a 0 in the proper column(s)

never got much out of SoZ play wise - just the goodies that become availiable in the toolset by having it.

Modifying those 2DAs won't do anything to imported characters that already have equipment. Neither will they do anything to newly created characters unless they're in the override folder, as character creation occurs before a campaign/module starts.

good points Dann - but those 2da's are meant to function as expected - just not in the most convenient capacity.

ode to the joys of the override eh?

You can write a script to remove all the PC's gear. Run it OnClientEnter for the initial area, and set a flag on the PC so that you know it's been done and doesn't have to be run again.

Modules also have an OnPCLoaded script. For single modules it fires when you first start the game, and also whenever you load up a saved game. For multi-module campaigns it probably also fires if you transition back into a specific module from another one. Either way, you've also got to flag it in some way to only run once - unless you want to p1ss off players by stripping them of their equipment multiple times.

I have a start lobby. It's not a problem to do it in a conversation or in the start lobbys on PC loaded.

Thats how I did it in islander but as I recall mass unequipping items can often fail. Can I delete them directly off the chest if that is the case? Surely someone has already done this script and done it well!

There are functions in ginc_item that should allow you to destroy things directly from their equipped slots.
