How will the pre-order content be handled? Will it be tied to our Origin account, or merely the platform account?  Cause while buying the DLC more than once would suck, I accept that but to be unable to EVER get the pre-order content because I changed my mind about what platform I want to play on a year later...

I have that problem with Lollipop Chainsaw. I originally bought it on the Xbox 360 but decided to sell my Xbox and get a PS3 instead, so now... because they aren't' selling the pre-order content, I will never have it on the PS3 (unless I get a suspect code from like Ebay or something), just the base game.

Now, Lollipop Chainsaw doesn't have a company based account like EA does, so there is no way to tie the pre-order content together, but with Origin there is.  So, I hope EA will strongly consider to let us tie at the very least the Pre-Order content to our Origin accounts.

Pre-order items are handled via the 1st party systems, meaning that on the 4 consoles these are tied to the account on the console and governed by their rules. Origin accounts don't enter into this because it happens at the console level before the game is even run. Sony and Microsoft don't allow any kind of item migration. The content will exist where you pre-ordered it. For PC, all games and content are tied to your Origin account.

So then, any idea yet if "Deluxe" will still be available in the future, even digitally? Cause at this time my computer can't run DAI, so there's no point in buying it when I'm not sure when I will get a new computer.

I can state that the Deluxe Edition will continue to be available digitally via Origin. Box copies are up to store orders and manufacturing costs. Those I would expect to stop at some point, but I cannot say when. I would also assume that we would see digital Deluxe for Xbox One and PS4 to be similar to PC in this regard, but this is our first title on those platforms, so I cannot say that with any certainty.

I know that it's all about cost effectiveness but personally I would be very disappointed if there won't be any more box copies in the future :( . It's bad enough that PC gamers can't get a boxed version of the Deluxe Edition in my country now and I'm kind of worried that this "trend" accelerates. *Sigh* If you as a company have any influence, let me tell you that there are still oldfashioned gamers out there who like to put boxes on their shelfs.

Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the BioWare studio. We make and supply the digital content that is either put up on digital purchase sites or manufactured in boxes. It all comes down to what the individual stores order from EA for their regions. We don't really have any control over it. I am sure there will be Deluxe Edition boxes for a while, but in the end it is all about what the stores want on their shelves.
