I haven't really seen anything linking this but did anyone notice that Sandals prophecy described the original information for the plot DA:I ? Or did that fly over everyone's heads?

Prophecy? Are you talking about when Bodahn told Hawke he and Sandal were going to Orlais to meet with the Empress?

I think it was more likely the "One day the magic will come back. All of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part, and the skies will open wide." thing. And yeah, this is definitely about the Veil tear.

I think it happens in Act 3. Just go back to the estate once in a while and speak to Sandal. It only triggers when you speak with him.

You have to keep clicking on him as it only comes up rarely.

It's late in Act III.
You need to pester him when most other quests are done but before you do 'Last Straw'.

You have to very lucky. There's 1/100 or maybe 2/100 chance that'll it come up when you speak to him. However, the most interesting part is Bodhan's reaction to it all. He starts to clear his throat saying what's this.....and then Sandal seems to want to say some more about this. But then Bodhan clears his throat again and Sandal breaks out in usual smiling voice saying "Enchantment". And Bodahn says: Now that's more like it......

I personally think Bodahn knows more about Sandal thathe is letting us, the players, now...

Sandal and Bodahn! I love those two characters. It just wouldn't be Dragon Age without them.
