Well, here's my canon playthough. This is the one I stand by, and the one I will be importing to DA:I
Dragon Age Origins
Female Elf Mage, Circle of Magi Origin (obviously).
- I told Irving of Jowan's plans, but only because I hoped for a peaceful resolution.
Ostagar
- I fed the deserter, and opened the chest later on.
- I saved the mabari hound and-reunited with him later on.
- I didn't speak to Loghain at his tent (never really feels natural to me, to just ask to speak to him for a quick chat...)
Lothering
- I offered to let the bandits go if they joined up as mercs to fight the darkspawn, but they refused. We fought - I won, killing them all. Hey, I tried...
-Told the robbed Elves of the bandits' deaths, they got their belongings back. See - happy resolution after all...
- I killed Loghain's soldiers. It was too dangerous to let them warn Loghain, when we were still so short on manpower and contacts.
- I recruited Leliana
- I completed all Chanter's Board quests - and no, not just because of that nice longsword you get.
- I didn't want to get involved with the merchant squabble, even though I thought he was being a bit heartless. In the interests of keeping the chantry happy though (I'm a mage after all and I didn't want them causing a fuss), I persuaded the merchant to be more reasonable.
- Helped the elder out with a couple of poultices.
- Had... Allistair I think, make some traps for Allison.
- Either Leliana or Morrigan whipped up some poison for the old crackpot Barlin.
- Donated the required tithe (i.e not the generous amount - my character does believe in The Maker and is somewhat religious herself, but not to the extent that she would expend needed resources when the party were so strapped for funds) to the Chantry. Had Leliana negotiate the release of Sten.
- Sten was recruited.
- Was up front about who I was with Bodahn and Sandal.
Arl of Redcliffe
- Hearing that Arl Eamon was sick, we decided to go to Redcliffe first, as Allistair suggested. The war was being fought in Ferelden and stood little chance of success without the aid of the Bannorn. We decided it would be dangerous to leave it too long to find out if Eamon was really ill.
- Very lightly flirted with Allistair as he spoke of being the late king's bastard son. My character was throwing around the idea that she liked Allistair (romantically I mean) at this point.
- Found Bevin, convinced him to give The Green Blade to the Warden, but promised to return it after the battle (which I attempted to do, but they insisted I keep it, so I ended up paying them a fair price for it - Sten was very happy). Didn't give the big amount, so the whole foundry, marrying Teagan thing doesn't happen for Kaitlyn, but she and Bevin did leave for Denerim in good spiriits nevertheless.
- Bella was given some money to leave Redcliffe. The whole brewer thing didn't trigger, but I think you need the Kaitlyn one too for that to happen. Regardless, she left the sleazy employment of Lloyd, and headed for Denerim to start a new life. (My character is wary of unrestrained charity, even though she is a good person, given that the warden's cause requires funding, but she also understands what it is to be trapped in an unhappy place (Circle Tower etc), so she helped Bella out.
- Found Valena, sent her back safely to Owen. I was mostly understanding with Owen, but Morrigan and Murdock have a point about Owen, and he was being incredibly selfish and suicidaly foolish, endangering others as well. I wasn't convinced I could fulfil his promise at the time I made it, but we needed his skills. My charcter was happy to actually help him out later though.
- Convinced Mother Hannah to 'bless' Ser Perth and his men, appealed to Dwyn's greed with a promise of putting in a good word with Teagan and Eamon, got the oil, convinced Lloyd to spring for free drinks etc etc. All the business. Survived the siege with no casualties at all, and Allistair got a rather fetching new hat as thanks.
- Jowan was temporarily left in his cell as the castle was cleansed. My character trusted that the poor fool was genuinely trying to help this time, but couldn't take chances. Later on, he was asked for his opinion, and was allowed to perform the blood ritual, killing Isolde to save Connor. I went into the Fade personally and would listen to no nonsense from the Desire Demon, striking it down without conversation (too dangerous, and the demon had proved its evil intent amply by that time). The Circle wasn't an option IMO, as the whole idea of leaving the castle for even a day with all that was going on, seemed ludicrously unwise. I can't accept these kinds of 'have your cake and eat it' get out of jail options, because they make no sense. So despite the grave methods, I felt the blood ritual was the only sensible option.
- The issue of Jowan's fate etc would be decided later. My party decided that chasing after legends like the Sacred Urn was too slim a lead, when they had definate treaties they could enforce. Eamon was in a grave state, but the chances of finding the Urn seemed remote, especially it would mean a trip to Loghain's powerbase (Denerim). With a heavy heart, we decided to move on, and fulfill the other treaties first. At this point, my character reasoned that Teagan would likely have to take over, but he had proven capable enough. It wasn't an ideal situation, but I felt we didn't the time to waste chasing after an apocryphal artifact with unproven healing powers.
- On the road to the Circle tower, Zevran ambushed us and was defeated. Operating under the 'keep enemies closer' policy, we recruited him.
Broken Circle
- I spared the Blood Mage who pleaded for mercy. I didn't approve of what was going on, but I did understand why it had happened.
- I sided with the Mages, which is to be expected given that I was a mage. I didn't resent Greagoir, and tried to be civil with him though.
- I obtained Yusaris, but I did so later on after Dagna joined the Circle. It makes no difference, but my reasoning was that I was showing Dagna how to perform summoning for her studies, and that's when it all went wrong. Because usually my character would know better than to mess around, especially when the Circle was under attack.
- Had several interesting talks about the dangers of magic with Sten during the trip. We had differing views, but the discussions were amicable.
A Paragon of Her Kind
- Dwarves know more about fighting Darkspawn than anyone, and we were in the vicinity so we headed to Orzammar next.
- Gave Leliana a pet Nug, but later on after things had calmed down, and we had grown closer (see later).
- Told Roggar and his men to clear off. Didn't like them pressuring the shop owner, but wasn't in Orzammar to cause trouble, so tried to respect his wishes to not rock the boat..
- Did not establish a chantry in Orzammar. This was a very sensitive topic, and one we really didn't need to be wrapped up in. We were already violating the Warden policy of not getting involved in politics - adding religion to the mix would have been a fine mess.
- Dagna sent to The Circle for study. It seemed a worthy cause, though I was a little concerned to learn she hadn't told her father.
- Convinced Zerlinda to move to the surface. Having left the Circle Tower and prospered, I felt qualified to say that a change of scenery could work wonders for her future prospects. It couldn't possibly be worse than the squalor she was living in.
- Competed in The Provings, and won under Harrowmont's name along with Gwiddon and Baizyl. Bhelan may be more driven, but he's a despot. Supporting him because it suits the surface is the same mistake the West has made with tyrants like Saddam Hussain. In game, I reasoned that it was similar to the situation with Loghain, and we'd be hypocrities of the highest order to support Bhelan but oppose Loghain. Besides, I needed a war leade and Harrowmont was a general, whereas Bhelan is just a scheming opportunist. I wasn't convinced either were entirely trustworthy, but I needed manpower and this was a way to get it. The wardens also rely on Orzammar support and have close ties, which is all bound up in tradition involving the darkspawn threat. Harrowmont is all about tradition, so whatever regressive, isolationist policies he favoured, he'd keep that link going, I reasoned. Also wasn't thrilled with Vartag's attempt to shine me on with those forged papers.
- Returned "A Volume of Shaper History" back to the Orzammar Shaperate.
- Restored Orta’s heritage, (despite her copping an attitude at first).
- Lied to Filda about Ruck's death, at Ruck's request. Kept Ruck's shield because it feels wrong to sell things like this (just thought it was worth mentioning - I don't sell Ser Wesley's shield in DA2 either).
- Recovered the Topsider's Honor blade.
- Slain the Pride Demon "Asunder" in the Ortan Thaig. Was mighty glad to be rid of that bag of limbs, I tell you...
- Caridin supported, fought and killed Branka. Branka was utterly insane and had proven that she would sacrifice friends, allies and loved ones. The Anvil was a thing of evil. It wasn't lost on me that it would be useful and could represent a chance to push the darkspawn back in the Deep Roads. But a mage knows all about the temptations of great power (and Wynne would never let me hear the end of it, if I kept it anyway).
- So yes, Anvil of the Void was destroyed
- Gave a copy of "The Golem Registry" to Shaper Czibor. I wasn't the biggest fan of Czibor with him vocalising his disgust at the casteless, but I was forced to swallow my indignation and accept that the customs of the Dwarfs are their own concern - obnoxious as they are.
- Harrowmont made King, Bhelen and supporters killed after their entirely unsurprising and unsucessful coup.
- Obtained Legion of the Dead support for Surface Assault.
- Cured Lady Brodens illness in the Royal Palace.
- Killed the remaining Bhelen supporters including Gartag Gavorn, Myaja, Lucjan, Piotin Aeducan, and several un-named guardsmen. Hey, they attacked me...
Urn of Sacred Ashes
- Faced with the choice of blundering about looking for a mythical Urn, and wandering about in the deep forests looking for elves who might not even be there, we decided to look into the Urn business, and see if we could turn up anything. With the Dwarfs, mages and Redclife (under Teagan) on our side, we were also well outfitted enough to begin scouting out Denerim gently to see what we were up against. Two birds, one Urn.
- Rumbled Weylon, but decided to spring his trap at Lake Calenhad anyway, in case more clues could be found.
- Rescued Genitivi, gave the villagers of Haven a stern talking to (and killing of) and headed out to the Temple of Andraste.
- Kolgrim and his group of nutcases were given a chance to explain what they were about, but turned violent and were killed, when I refused their blasphemy.
- High Dragon "Andraste" was slain, but later on. We didn't have time to be messing about just at the moment. Let sleeping dragons lie... until you're tough enough to kill them.
- Pilgrim's Trial completed. Took along Allistair, Leliana and Wynne as they seemed like they'd get the most out of it.
- Urn of Sacred Ashes discovered and revealed to all by Genitivi (which I agreed to only begrudgingly, as it seemed a recipe for disaster). Still, he was willing to fight me, and I didn't want that. I (and most of my party) warned him we would accept no blame if things didn't work out.
- Eamon was cured, and Jowan was sent to the Circle. I spoke in his defence, but some punishment would be necessary. I hoped they wouldn't make him Tranquil, and felt partially responsible for letting things get out of hand.
- This whole business has marked the end of any budding romance between me and Allistair. We agree (mostly) back at camp that it had to be done, but there is some resentment on his side for letting Isolde die (and my character is somwhat offended that he thinks it was an easy decision). It becomes clear that his royal status, the fact that my character supports Eamon's view that Allistair's blood claim to the throne must be pursued, his former Templar status and my Mage status, and this unfortunate episode with Isolde sacrifice, means too many barriers exist between us. We are still good friends, and my character never forgets what she feels for him, but she puts an end to any thought of being with him. She had been growing closer and closer to Leliana, and it eventually develops into a relationship. Its not a case of which she loves more - she loves them both. But she is with Leliana, and devotes herself fully to her.
Nature of the Beast
- Prodded Cammen and Gheyna to get together. The situation with Allistair has made my character sensitive to estranged lovers.
- Resolved the Halla situation in the Dalish camp.
- Found ironbark for Varathorn.
- Gave a merciful death to Danyla, informed her husband Athras.
-Rescued Deygen, brought him back to camp.
-Killed The Hermit, but did trade a few items with him before he turned violent (Ancient Elven helmet, the acorn etc).
-Recovered the Juggernaut Armor set. Misdirection Hex = ultimate win against Revenants.
- Persuaded Zathrian (by force) to release the curse. His rage was justified against the original parties, but not now. My character accepted that he was at heart, a good man, but this whole business had to end. The werewolves were cured, got some free clothes into the bargain it seemed, and everyone was Jim Dandy.
- Lanaya became Keeper of the Clan.
- Was generally diplomatic towards hardliners like Panowen and Sarel the storyteller. Managed to calm them down and avoided any kind of prolonged acrimony.
Denerim
- Convinced Ser Landry that whatever he think of the Wardens, they would never do something that would aid the Darkspawn conquest. He remained somewhat suspicious, but agreed to give me the benefit of the doubt and left.
- Helped Sergeant Kylon clear out the bandits.
- The Crimson Oars were boorish loutsm, but so are lots of people (look at Oghren!) I convinced them to move on and stop trying to stir up trouble in a place they obviously weren't welcome. Neither side were acting very sensibly, but there was no bloodshed.
- Cleared out the Blood Mages' hideout (and right swines they were too...).
- Completed all Chanter's Board quests.
- Killed Arl Howe's hired thugs in The Pearl.
- Zevran helped me beat Isabella at Wicked Grace. No sexual shennigans were involved.
- Refused Master Igancio's offer, but didn't want to antagonize the crows further. Zevran and I let them go.
- Defeated Gaxkang (though it was far from easy).
- Didn't return the box to the Friends of Red Jenny. If Irving thought it should be kept away from them, that's good enough for me.
Denerim: Arl Howe Estate
- Snuck into the estate, with our disguises. Tumbled by one of the guards as he was helping one of the servants adjust his pants... Silenced him, but at least he died kind of happy, you would think...
- Freed Soris, Rexel, Oswyn, and Ser Irminric from the Dungeons.
- After learning what Vaughan had been up to, decided to dispense some frontier justice. Killed him in his cell (though I imagine it as Zevran being the one who kills him).
- Surrendered to Ser Cauthrien, following Anora's suggestion and letting her slip away. Fervently hope that Anora will keep her word.
- Rescued from Fort Drakon by Leliana and Morrigan disguised as priests (lol!). The whole being with Allistair in just our small clothes thing wasn't awkward in the slightest...
Denerim Alienage
- Donated money to the beggers
- Bribed the Quarantine guard at the back. Fought through and killed Tevinter soldiers inside, then burst out the front door and ambushed the mages out front. Released the Elves in the Alienage Quarantine home.
- Helped Ser Otto root out demonic presence in Alienage Orphanage. Otto survived to reach the exoricism scene.
- Killed Devera and Tevinter guards, fought through the Tevinter Warehouse
- Heard Caladrius out simply to find out what he and Loghain were up to, then refused his deal and klled the sod.
- Freed Elder Valendrian and fellow Elf captives.
- Gift of the Grey recovered.
The Landsmeet
- Accused Loghain of pursuing old vendettas and hatreds at the expense of the kingdom, revealed his imprisonment of Templars, torture etc, and won over basically everyone. Only the second to last guy supported Loghain I think. All the named Banns supported me, even Wulff.
-Anora supported the Warden (thankfully).
- Warden defeated Loghain in a one-on-one duel. We were the leaders of our respective factions - it felt only right. Switched to Arcane Warrior mode and fought him hand to hand (or sword to sword anyway) with Spellweaver.
- Refuses Riordan's offer to make Loghain a Grey Warden (though I did try to convince Allistair as it seemed a fair compromise). Ultimately though, I accepted that justice must be done for Loghain's many, many crimes. He was executed (in rather unnecessarily brutal and dramatic fashion IMO).
-Alistair (still his jolly old non-hardened self) reluctantly becomes King and rules jointly with Anora (arranged beforehand).
Battle of Denerim/Ending
-Dark ritual performed with Warden and Morrigan. A difficult decision, but ultimately I felt like the episode at Redcliffe had taught me that blood magic doesn't necessarily always lead to evil outcomes, even though its not something I wish to wield myself. Allistair is crucial as a moderating force for Anora, and there was no guarantee that I and Ridordan wouldn't die before we reached the Archdemon. I had to do what would give us the best chance to both defeat the Archdemon, and have Allistair survive afterwards. Plus, my warden quietly thought that Allistair and Morrigan were bizarrely enough, a decent match even if they would never admit it. It helped to salve the guilt at prodding him into doing this. Maybe they'll be able to get together in DA:I (as the marriage to Anora is plainly a sham on both sides and for political purposes only - because the Wardens have done what Loghain said and put one of their own on the throne, and Aliistair even starts giving them titles and seizing land for them!)
- Warden, Allistair, Leliana and Sten head off to hunt the Archdemon.
-Ohgren (leader), Zevran, Wynne, Morrigan and Gelert (the dog) defend the gate. Ohgren rips the spawn a new one. 2-handed weapons FTW!
-Darkspawn commanders in The Markets and Alienage slain, Shianni and Elves saved - told them to get to safety as we dealt with the spawn.
- Warden slays Archdemon and survives.
- Warden requests Circle be freed as her boon. My Warden wants more freedom for mages, but understands that this can't happen overnight, nor should it come through violent revolution. My request is intended as a test case, an experiment to see if mages can handle the responsibility of self governance. Give it 10 years or so, and see how things go. The templars will still be allowed to retain a reasonable force, but only as a kind of security force and advisory body. The real authority would lie with the First and Senior Enchanters, on the understanding that they must not exclude or demonize (a-ha) the templars. It should be a real effort at co-existance and collaboration. That is what I would be pushing for with what influence I have, and I suspect Wynne and Irving would support me in this.
Companions
-All companions recruited, loyal, and survive.
-Full romance with Leliana. Still together at the end.
- Leliana is happy and has been reassured she is not Marjolaine (who was killed).
- Alistair met Goldanna and was disappointed. Some money was given (to the general disapproval of me and Morrigan). Told him that he shouldn't be discouraged at her grasping ways, and that he's a good man with friends who care.
- Alistair recovers his mother's locket and Duncan's shield.
- Flemeth slain and her Grimoire recovered per Morrigan's request. Had intended to stay out of it, but Morrigan did seem genuinely upset and worried. Ulimately, I confronted Flemeth, not trusting her as far as I could throw her. Her answers were unsatisfactory and I was convinced she was up to no good. Although not 100% sure I was doing the right tbing, me, Alistair and Sten etc decided she was a menace that needed to be taken out of the equation, lest she show up at the 11th hour and become the new Archdemon or any hi-jinks like that. Gave the Grimoire to Morrigan on the reasoning that whatever scheme she had planned, I made as well spring it and deal with it if it happened, rather than let her come up with some new scheme later.
-Wynne gets closure with Aneirin.
- Oghren gets together with Felsi.
-Sten’s sword, Asala, is recovered. Although he is Qunari and I am a mage, and though we have differing views on several things, we are very close. Both are willing to do what must be done, both see themselves as having a duty to perform from which there can be little rest. At the risk of sounding flighty, my character idly wonders if there could have been something between them, but the ship has sailed it seemed.
Miscellaneous
-Blackstone Irregulars questline completed- sided with Raelnor Hawkwind and killed Taoran and his guards. Taoran wasn't entirely wrong about the need to have connections and be willing to get your hands dirty. The world unfortunately needs such people. But my character is essentially good hearted and Raelnor's obvious distress at also doing what needs to be done wins him her support. Basically I agree with sometimes having to do harsh things for the greater good - but it doesn't mean you should be some kind of callous swine about it.
- Didn't do any of the Rogue quests or stealing quests. Did some of the Mage's Collective quests, but not the more obviously dubious ones (Scrolls of Banastor, Places of Power, Blood of Warning etc). Tracked the adventurers who were planning to expose the blood mage, but let them go as I believed their story (they are up front about what they are doing, and had no reason to lie when they didn't even know who you were or what you wanted).
Awakening
-Conspiracy stopped with help from Dark Wolf. Using such methods is somewhat dubious, but the conspirators meant business as proved when they murdered the woman who tried to warn you. The Wolf would need to be monitored to make sure he never let his ideals slip, but if he keeps that line between civic duty and profit for services rendered, I can allow it.
- All potential companions become Wardens (a bit of a fudge, as it required performing the joining on Sigrun before the narrative suggested it, but hey... its not my fault her loyalty mission is glitched).
- Kal'Hirol reclaimed by Orzammar.
-Casteless Dwarves recognized for their efforts against Darkspawn in Kal'Hirol.
- Vigil's Keep fully upgraded.
- Saved Amaranthine, The whole point of this experiment was to defend the arling and rule it wisely. Cowering in the keep and letting the arling go to pot is hardly the way to achieve that! Vigil's Keep lasted out the siege, not that the gltiched ending allows for that of course, despite the ending sliders telling me it had... Seriously, why was this never fixed?
- Sigrun dies defending Vigil's keep. Everyone else survives. Took Justice, Velenna and Nathaniel to defend Amaranthine/fight the Mother.
-Darkspawn "Messenger" spared and set free.
-Architect was spared. It was an odd situation to find ourselves in, but if things continue as they are, the world is likely doomed (as the darkspawn continue to breed and mulitply in the bowels of the world, the Dwarfs are hanging on by a thread to their empire and if they fall, then the surface will be in a perpetual state of blight like the Dwarven kingdoms. This is a possible solution - we can't just ignore it.
- Didn't do the other DLCs (conscious decision - I have seen them, but I don't use them for my canon playthrough. Shale feels too out of place and 'special Christmas episode' style to be included on my run etc etc).
Dragon Age II
-Male Warrior (2 handed weapons), Juliana Hawke.
-City Magistrate's son killed.
-Feynriel sent to the Dalish, then eventually Tevinter.
-Bethany forced into the Circle of Magi.
-Every Companion maxed Friendship except Merrill (Maxed Rivalry).
-Aveline marries Donnic.
-Bartrand is 'cured' and sent to a sanitarium.
-Merrill romanced and convinced to abandon the mirror eventually.
- Isabella returns with the relic. Brief romance with Hawke, implied they still have feelings for each other, but Hawke insists on staying with Merril.
-Arishok killed in duel with Hawke.
-Demons Xebenkeck, Medan, Bysmor, Beacon, Gifre, and Hybris slain
-Castilion is allowed to walk free in exchange for his ship. It is not Hawke's place or job to arrest and kill every criminal in the world. She doesn't like slavers at all and kills most slavers out of hand. She certainly doesn't approve of Castillion, but he is a powerful man with powerful friends who will pursue Isabella if he is killed. There will always be slavers, just as there will always be people around to kill said slavers - he will get what's coming to him. Ultimately, Hawke isn't exactly happy about it, but the code of the criminal underworld and of life's oursiders like Isabela is what it is. Such a lifestyle will likely also catch up to Isabela one day which Hawke regrets, but it isn't her place to lecture Isabela on what she already knows. She doesn't agree with everything people like Isabela and Varric do, but accepts that crime is a fact of life, and some people are involved in it without being evil or malicious/sadistic people. She herself has helped smugglers, and been involved in petty crimes of various kinds, and frequently dispenses vigiliante justice. Basically, it takes all kinds to make a world, and not everything is as simple as right is right and wrong is wrong. If that was the case, we'd have just let the Qunari take over. Letting Casillion go is bitter pill to swallow, but this is something Isabela brought you in on, and she should be allowed to determine how it plays out. Maybe Hawke could have taken a moral stand and browbeaten Isabela into changing her ways. But my Hawke accepts that people make their own choices and live their own lives - she can't live their lives for them.
- Did not give lyrium shard to Varric. Gave it to Sandal and he knocked it about a bit until it was safe but still useful.
- Fenris convinced to not kill his sister (Varric helping out by in so many words, reminding Fenris of how much he hated Bartrand, but still regrets how things turned out with his brother and that he couldn't save him completely).
- Elves calmed on Sundermount-avoid bloodbath between Merrill and Dalish.
-Didn't help Anders destroy the Chantry. Cursed him for his stupidity and didn't want to kill him because of all the help he'd given them, and the fact that in many ways his cause is and always been a good one. But she accepts Sebastian and Aveline's opinion that this isn't enough to just ignore what he's done. Meredith's reaction is clearly over the top, but she isn't wrong that the people will demand justice. Anders is now a murderer, a heretic, a terrorist, an anarchist. Letting him go would be a grave breach of the trust the city has placed on its Champion. Killing him would give you the moral high ground to call for an end to Meredith's campaign, as the person responsible has been dealt with. For thsoe reasons, Hawke regretfully executes Anders. She doesn't feel good about it, but it had to be done, for moral and practical reasons. His death shows the Templars that they are not just ignoring his crimes, and makes Meredith's position seem all the more uncalled for when she refuses to relent. Sebastian stays with group and accepts that the mages as a whole are blameless in this, and must be protected from overeactions by the chantry forces.
- Tried to say neutral throughout the game on the Mage-Templar conflict, but sided with the Mages in the end game. Loyal to Bethany and Merril, Anders etc obviously. But took on board the idea that magic is dangerous, and that a society where magic is completely free like Tevinter offers no real solution either, as its too much power to have no regulation. Generally sympathetic to both sides, provided they stay reasonable and try to avoid mass chaos. Some mild antipathy with Cullen over her arrest of Bethany, but ultimately because Bethany accepts the situation, they bury the hatchet and often speak of ways to try and calm such tensions between the 2 communities. Basically considers Cullen a good man and a friend, who is trying to do the right thing in difficult circumstances. The Bethany thing will always come between them to some extent, but they both try to accept it.
-Defeated Corypheus, sided against the wardens and knew he must be destroyed. Completed all the various tasks in the tower. Bethany was allowed out of the circle to help out (I do the DLC early in Act 2, reasoning that it was done in years between Acts 1 and 2).
- Completed Mark of the Assassin and helped out Tallis, by letting her leave with the scroll, in an act that in Hawke's mind honours the fallen Arishok who she knew had to be defeated in Act 2, but felt was basically a good man. I do this DLC early in Act 3, saying that it took place between Acts 2 and 3.
- Romanced Tallis and kissed her at the end. Reasoned that the mirror's continyed call on Merrii and her refusal to fully commit and move in properly had left her and Hawke in a difficult state at this time. Feeling shut out and lonely, especially with her Mother's death and Bodhan gently informing her that he and Sandal will soon be moving on, she and Tallis find each other at a time when they feel estranged from the people around them. Later patches things up with Merril when the Mirror issue is resolved, but cannot shake the feeling that she and Tallis have a real and powerful connection.
