Found out Erin Fitzgerald is voicing Elize -- I couldn't tell so maybe I've underestimated the range she can reach.

Also nice to hear Sam Riegel again back from when he was Flynn in Vesperia, and of course Teddie in Persona.

Todd Haberkorn as Rowen took me by surprise too. Awesome stuff.

Erin is the reason I have to play overclock with the volume low, because she thought it was a grand idea to yell all her lines during recording. Blaaah

Seriously, the only role I liked her in was Chie, all her other roles just make me grumble or worse case, outright change the language(bravely default, which is a shame because all the other VAs did a great job in the dub)

EDIT She's fine as Erica in Catherine -- Her part as Chie is a bit of mix. I find it to be subpar in comparison to the original voice which I thought sounded more authentic and less like another helium-infused-spawn-of-hell-voice, which a lot of anime girls seemingly has despite how misrepresentative, repetitive and annoying it can be at times when having a high-school setting.

Found out it was Teepo, whom she voiced,  and not Elize, in which case I can sort of hear it's her but it still carries a nice range.

Has anyone played Records of Agarest War? I just bought the sequel without having played any of the other 2 entries in the series, and I was wondering if I wouldn't feel lost in the story if I just jumped into the second game? Should I first play the first Records of Agarest War or the RoAW:Zero? Anyone?

Honestly I played the first agarest but couldn't get into it. I wish I could help more.

Xenoblade Chronicles is now going to be on the new 3ds, at least in Japan. I wouldn't find it too surprising if it came over to the west also at some point.

I'm like 90% of the way through Xenoblade Chronicles for a long time but it's basically a video game version of like Evangelion/Aldnoah.Zero/crazy mecha, so basically, it's pretty entertaining for other JRPG fans.

Lol, the 3DS -- Wake me up when they re-release it on the Wii-U instead.

So now Nintendo wants to alienate its own users? That doens't sound like a very smart strategy.

Eh, depends. It could be money grubbing, but if the upgrade proves significant it might be worth it to upgrade.

I've looked up an article and from what I see the additions mostly add control support so that you have more options of controlling things along with the 'new CPU'. More buttons for more things is something I like, and if the new 3DS proves beefy enough to handle more and different types of games with scenarios impossible on the original, why not? The 3DS has been out for three years now, it's not like they're stuffing a new version down your throat right off the bat.

I don't really understand it either, it seems kind of a random thing to do this for the 3ds which is already their successful console, I guess they are just trying to double down on leveraging the 3ds, but now they risk alienating a lot of players who already have a 3ds, etc.

However, for someone who doesn't yet have a 3ds or a Wii/Wii U (and hasn't played Xenoblade, perhaps not a large group though), it sounds like it could be a good deal.

I'm also glad that Xenoblade has been getting some big recognition, it's been an exciting series all the way back to Xenogears and through Xenosaga and it seems like a lot of people are finally seeing that one way or another.

I'm still salty about that "New 3DS" tbh. I really would have liked to play Xenoblade for less than 9000 dollars too.

...I think I'm just going to stick to the Vita for now...

*goes back to playing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 until he gets MAGES. as a party member*

But in serious, I might pick up one of the New 3DS(Stupid Name Alert: What, did Aurica name this?).

Perhaps, maybe this time next year

Soon...

On another note, so this new 3DS... is it a thing that there will be games that'll only work on the new model?

Yes, but I don't suspect there to be a sizable amount of exclusives to it until later 2015, at the soonest.

They still make games for the standard DS every now and then afterall.

:( Tsk. That kinda sucks.

Ah well. The vita will be taking up more of my time now anyways. I'll be getting neptunia as soon as I find a bigger memory card.

Loves Valkyria Chronicles right up until that point where the girl with the magic laser beams shows up in already obnoxious boss fight with the ****** emperor.

You know what? I forgot to detail in a calm and collected manner why I love Ar Tonelico after I finished it.

Will gather it and come back in a few hours.

And if you own a Vita, Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth is a must have, I will also detail my love for that as well.

she perma-killed like half my team on her first attempt. The second time I did the mission I was nearly killed in the same way, then I figured out she never leaves one side of the tank.

If she had proper AI she could easily kill your whole team every time.
