Well Atelier Iris 3 is pretty cute so far, although Edge is a little bit annoying. Way too early to say anything more than that though... I just was glad for the initial impression. 

 

I mean really a whole town on water like that, it's amazing how uninventive so many games are with their 'towns' and 'hubs.'

Edge ismy biggest problem with that game. He does have his moments but he still remains bland

BLEGH why!? Honestly though I was already preparing for him being not very fun and it feels like there's enough other stuff going on for me not to care about it that much.

 

I'm also just interested in the core Atelier game structure because if that appeals there's a ton more where that came from.

Thankfully Edge (and arguably early game Aysha) is as bad as protagonists get for the series. Thankfully Iris and Nell as well as a few side and antagonist characters are pretty good.

Hanako's path is my favorite but Rin and Emi's is also really good. Stay away from Shizune's.

I'm just going to keep Shizune for last as I have a feeling I won't care for her path as I don't really like the character compared to the others*hell even Misha is better then her) Being bossy is one thing, Shizunes bossiness is just too much.
