Drop all the Hyper and Ar stuff. It's obviously terrible if I barely know about it.
You should play them. They are good stuff. Cult classics and all that.

I did check out one of the Ar games' soundtrack awhile back. Good stuff. I'm not sure if they're on the one other system I currently have at the moment though, PS2
They are on the PS2. The third game and the prequal are on PS3.

Yeah the thing that never got localized that you have to read a fan summary of.
Zestiria seems like it's shaping up into one of the more interesting Tales entries.. I thought the trailer was pretty exciting anyway.
Looks cool though the protagonist looks kinda generic. The quality of a tales game seems to be directly tied to it's main character so I hope i'm wrong.

There's a lot of truth to this, actually.
Design-wise, I think Ludger was my favorite. I kinda liked the steampunk-inspired get up he had going for him, also the music of Elympos was gorgeous.
Anyone played Akibahara's strip 2?
It's on sale right now for €20 instead of 40€ but I'm still curious if anyone has played it and what they thought about it.
I am playing it like right now this second on Grav's suggestion. Pretty cool so far but i'm not so far in. I literally picked it up a few hours ago.

Conveniently, I'm only playing the first one right now.

No the one you're playing is the second one. The first never got localized.

Oh.
That's confusing in a way

Well I sure know how to time my question
.
In case you're interested, Steam is having an anime sale for the weekend:
http://store.steampo...sale/anime_sale
Wow BlazBlue for 3 dollars... that's pretty good.
I grabbed that. Couldn't resist. Steam is bad for my wallet.
Well I mean 3 dollars, I was already thinking of getting it when it was 35. Guilty Gear was a cool series, solid fighting and all that, no reason to think this isn't interesting.
I also read that Legends of the Fall: Trails of the Sky (or whatever it's called) is supposed to be good. It's made by Falcom which made Ys so I could see trying that one maybe also.
Edit: Well whatever.
You've got a broken image there.
Well, I have toasted Star Ocean 3: Til the end of Time. It was pretty fun, all things considered I didn't know what to expect because I didn't play it when it came out. I just felt like there hadn't really been a Star Ocean I didn't enjoy so why not just go for it.
I ended up sinking like 45 hours into it and could even stick around for the bonus dungeon stuff, it was pretty immersive especially for a JRPG. The best parts were finding out how you couldn't just expect to be unchallenged throughout the dungeon... so that was cool.
I'm kind of amazed at the depth of side material, it has kind of romance points that you can get throughout and yet they were all pretty hidden and in these small choices and stuff, you even get to pick the characters for your party to a certain degree.
Overall, it was pretty fun, Star Ocean 2 was still probably my favorite and Star Ocean 3 somewhere around the same level as 4.
Been meaning of getting into the Tales series, though don't know which one to pick. Tales of Vesperia looks to be quite good from what I've gathered. Any guys here played it and recommend it? Or should I just watch a walkthrough?
Vesperia was my first so going with that is good from my own experience.
I agree with this gentle-being. Vesperia is what I'd consider the best of that bunch.Vesperia was my first so going with that is good from my own experience.
I noticed there is a prequel movie on Vesperia. Recommend watching it before delving into the game or?
