I really hope the character creation returns. I didn't expect there to be one in Awakening, but I'd really like one back in the next one.

If Intelligent Systems does not want the FE series to decline again and make Nintendo give them another ultimatum, they should adapt the new features of FE:A by default and build on that along with old features returning in Fire Emblem:If, along with hopefully new stuff. Returning back to how the Raidant games where or removing praised elements of FE:A will be a very bad idea.

So Xenosaga 2. The signs of there being 6 planned games for this story are starting to show. There is a rather large amount of info dump narration going on. I'm still enjoying it more than 1 for some reason though.

I think that plan was something that was made a long time ago and never came to fruition. At best, we can hope for an HD make over of those 3 games. Incidentally, Xeno X and Xeno Chronicles for the 3DS are coming soon. Yay!

Anyway, I was right. The plan was for there to be 6 games, hence calling it a saga, but that was cancelled by the time of the third game and thus it was the conclusion. Xeno Chronicles and Xeno X are the spiritual successors, and so far I'd say they are on the money. They aren't soaked in Nietzsche's philosophical concepts like Xenosaga, however, like perspectivism (a concept referring to the 'death of god' and man's search for moral guidance would be derived from multiple, fluid perspectives drawn on their own) or the eternal return (referring to the idea that the universe is an infinite recurrence, everything we ever do and ever will do we will do again). Chronicles is less waxing philosophical and more along the lines of great characters, big breathing world with things to do, and a good story. It's good.

 

Although, I myself would really like an HD make over for Xenosaga as I find them to be incredibly outdated-looking. They look almost as old as Skies of Arcadia, which is a shame, because the concept of Xenosaga sounds so interesting.

Oh I already know all about that HD collection that probably will never happen. Anyways I plan on getting xenoblade at some point. Just not sure when. I might play Xenogears first but I want to start on Shin megami tensei before doing that.

As for Xenogears it's also been awhile for both that and SMT, so I can't adamantly say this but my recollection was that it annihilated the SMT games I've played. Xenoblade is kind of like a very watery much more polished and plain-spoken version of Xenogears.

 

All just how I remember things though, the last time I replayed Xenogears was maybe like 4 years ago, and I think the battles/dialogue boxes felt kind of slow, everything else was pretty insane though.

Wait so if you played 1 you got the Albedo with the Knife scene with Momo.

 

 

Xenogears is pretty similar, lots of split personality/brutal trauma etc. weird stuff.

Albedo just had so much presence in that game, if I'm not mistaken he doesn't show up until like 1/3 through and then suddenly I was like ***** me.

Well he has a small scene early on but his crazy didn't really show till the song of nephelim.

Hm, yeah I don't quite remember exactly, anyway, if you end up going all the way through 2, 3, and back to Xenogears, you may find more of the same, some maybe more tame, some a bit crazier, but pretty much the world of Xeno in all it's sideways glory.

So finally got some time to play Re;birth 2 now with it being weekend and all so might aswell check the requirements for the true ending so I go after it first and go after any other ending another time.

 

Otherwise liking the game quite a bit, interesting experience to not be Neptune!

Alright so checked at the true ending requirement and managed to find slightly different requirements being mentioned. Doesn't help that mk2 requirements are being thrown in there. Rah is confuzzled

 

I can try to consider avoiding the emotional trauma the conquest ending seem to be if a noble soul could clear this grave confusion that besiege me
