I was kind of just being silly , I'll investigate the first game, to be honest I heard some better things about VLW that's why I was thinking of that one first.

Yeah I know you've already read up on it Kefka but I'd very strongly recommend 999 first and then VLR. Both are amazing and among my favorite games out there though.

Yeah... I'll pass. I don't really mind horror themed kind of things Fatal Frame or Amnesia or like this one movie called Rec was ok, but when the violence is just extremely gratuitous for it's own sake (Saw, etc) without really emphasizing characters or some other dimension, I just, ick. Honestly Rec is probably in that category too.

 

Saya No Uta is honestly pretty graphic for example but it didn't look totally like it was just random, like there were specific reasons related to the character or some other story, but still maybe a bit on the extreme side.

I also got Fatal Frame 3 (for PS2) so I could check out that series, and since it will be awhile before the Wii U Fatal Frame comes anyway.

I know of this game. I think it got pretty bad reviews in Japan or something I don't remember exactly but I do recall there being some kind of controversy around it.

Maybe I mixed it up with something else then. A lot of Japanese games have been driving controversy lately.

I saw it and hadn't heard of it so I checked it out, it seems a bit strange... I don't remember Nights all that well only played it a tiny bit, someone that did told me they didn't like it at all so I never went further.

 

It (and I guess this one) look sort of like Spyro the Dragon or something, lots of emphasis on the flying sort of stuff. It's kinda nice to see a sort of action-ish type of game with a kind of cute aesthetic for a major console though like used to happen more frequently back in the day.

Jeez Isi!   haha just    kidding. Well I was just reminiscing and honestly.... as much as I like Xenosaga........ Xenogears was pretty insane and kinda unsurpassed IMO. It's just mega hard hitting thing really.

Still that says a lot cause I had such a blast with Xenosaga back in the day. I use to think it was the bomb. It would be interesting to see how it holds up now compared to before cause I was relatively young at the time I went through it.

 

I'll definitely make sure to keep Xenogears on my list to get around to eventually. There was a point I'd have given an arm to try it out X3 It sucks how hard some of those imported games can be to get. I think it's improved in that sense although some of the more obscure things can still be hard to get.

I replayed it about 5 times myself! Go for it Isi! I just got someone into it like 2 days ago who had never played it I think.

 

I was just thinking of playing some FFXIII-2 again... it's still nice to have an FF and all that but that SNES/PS1 era was just unsurpassed really...
