Nothing definite just "in 2016". Honestly, would probably be one of the games they'll likely announce at the conference, that or it'll be at Nintendo's conference.

Actually there was a lot of JRPG stuff I didn't really quite catch it all because I was busy but some of the bigger ones I noticed..

Most of those likely aren't for me, but the Nier Sequel is something I'd be up for. I'd consider it a pleasant surprise that game got a sequel in the first place.

It's definitely a different character in the trailer I'd think doesn't look like Nier or Kaine or even Zero or anyone... anyway it looks pretty cool and they have the composer back and everything, the only thing that's annoying is it's PS4 only so hopefully I can get one by then.

The SO5 trailer was pretty lame and Xenoblade X didn't show anything new, but both I could still consider depending on later circumstances.

 

Fire Emblem Fates seems a little more interesting than the other one.

 

The Nier sequel has the potential to be the most unique or different compared to previous games so there's probably reason to be interested in that one most.

First time interested in JRPGs in a few years.

 

-FFVII remake (this is the big one, really big, even if only for it opening up the chance of a FFIX remake at some point ever rofl)

-Xenoblade X (if only for my bf's sake, who LOVED the first game)

-Nier (for my sake, as I LOVED the first game)

-Kingdom Hearts 3 (real gameplay that looks really nice, though I've never been hyped about the series)

 

Star Ocean..ugh.. I've finally fully decided that the series isn't for me. I tried the first two and it didn't click at all. I tried and kinda liked the 3rd one but stuff like battle cries and grinding and all sorts of other things turned me off. The 4th one looked terrible every time I took a look at it. Whatever. I don't even want to like it anymore, but want to want to like it. Yeesh.

 

All it'd take now to get me back as a JRPG fan is:

-FFXV ending up actually awesome

-trying FFXIV (up to most recent expansion content) and loving it

-announcement of either a Chrono Trigger/Cross remake or a new Chrono game with newer hardware (prefer PS4/One than WiiU but whatever)

-Lost Odyssey sequel/reimagining (like Chrono Cross to Trigger)
