So reached the final boss today in Ar Tonelico and am I supposed to do something special because

So reached the final boss today in Ar Tonelico and am I supposed to do something special because

I've had two moments when the bosses health was clearly fully black and somehow still managed to survive and AT attack.

The boss is split into 3 sections, if you destroy one section, you have to wait until it is moved to it, the sections are the Head, Arms, and Stomach, each of those sections have a different list of attacks, for instance the arms have an attack that can be aimed at your whole party at once.

 

I don't know if that helps, but I don't remember having to do anything too outside the norm.

Lyner is pretty good overall but perhaps Ayatane could need some better weapons and armor. Oh and Radolf is a tank. All of his elemental res. are 100%.

I ended up using Jack and Krusche, Krusche for that healing skill and Jack, actually I don't have an answer for Jack, I think it was because I only crafted his, Lyner's and Krusche's best weapons.

I tried using Jack in the first battle but he barely did any damage compared to Ayatane or Lyner.

Whoops. Sorry somehow missed your comment.

 

I'm not 100% sure I have but I managed to defeat the final boss after I turned Ayatane in a glass canon and made Rafold spam MP healing items on Aurica and made the armor and best sword for Lyner.

 

I also got really scared for a moment when

there was a second phase to the boss fight. Luckily Mir was really weak in that part.

 

Only have what I assume the epilogue left to do (I need to craft some song and need to go to dad so I assume this really is the end this time).

Yep you're at the end. It does say a lot about the game that you're not sure if it's really ending or not though.

Yeah but I've played a game that has pulled that stunt before.

 

Can't for the life of me remember which one but I'm sure I did.

 

Anyway just got my ending and it was really simple. Everyone goes their own path at the end and Shurelia tells that Lyner that will be remembered while he walks off with Aurica.

 

I won't be playing Ar Tonelico 2 till winter because playing AT1 in the summer was the worst thing for my laptop. Thing overheated at least 6 or 7 times in the 48 hours I played the game. So next step will be reading Ciel Nosurge summary and after thatb Ar Nosurge on the Vita. I'll also replay AT while I'm at it and go for Misha from time to time.

Heheheheheheheheheheh.   It's a special ending. You need to go through her binary field to get it. It's works on either of the character paths.

 

Well you should. It's worth it. It's the tied for best game of the series you want to end on a high note.

Be up to one level 7 cosmosphere. Then dive into Shurelia. Rest at the inn and then dive back in. I'm not sure how you missed that.

That can't be right. I had Aurica up at Lv 9 and yet I never unlocked the option to dive in Shurelia.

 

Well I'm not even sure if I'll get to play At2 with my laptop. I mean I would buy a PS2 and try to find At2 for the PS2 but I heard that the localization is abysmal.
