That's good to know then! Just have to make it through this one and then maybe I'll be okay.
I might look into suggested level guides and things like that cause at this point the girls are all around level 10 and it was pretty much Noire curbstomping us. ![]()

Yay i'm glad you saw the good stuff. Also yes the encounter bar should be in all random encounter JRPG's. Oh yeah 2, Ar nosurge and even 3 have a better overall plotline than 1. Though 3 has it's own issues like the entirety of phase one and a large chunk of phase 2.
Oh that's very good to hear because I would say that was my biggest issue with the game.
Wait there's one other thing. Lyner, our main character wasn't really all that impressive as a character but you've already said that every other Ar MC is better than him.

Yeah. As I said he's moderately above average and he's only that good due to some of his actions in cosmospheres. Yeah the other protags are better, Aoto splits a lot of opinions so you might hate him. He's like the Shirou of the series a lot of people simply don't get him or judge him based on his character in phase 1. (they have the same JP VA amusingly enough) That or they got Bryce Papenbrook's butchering of the character.

Aoto is AT3's MC right? I like Shirou a lot and I don't judge a MC on just the start of the story so I doubt that I'm going to hate him. I mean I don't even hate Lyner. I'm just kind of indifferent to him.

Yep. Good. You'll probably be fine then.

When I get back and do Saki's route for 3 I will turn on JP voices, since I won't get much of Soma's VA.
I didn't like Aoto because of his English VA.

He sounds less like a consistent dickhole.

Ugh goddamnit Atlus. You have such a hatred of Europe. You are literally the only JRPG localizer that does this even NISA doesn't do this ****.

And even worse, some articles gave Winter 2016 specifically as the EU release date. That could mean two very different things.

Yep. I am really looking forward to the game too.
I mean on anything but the 3ds I could give it a pass since imports are possible. Stupid region lock.

I think they should get more credit for how much better they are getting. Europe are getting the cool special editions as well, there wasn't that much waiting time for Persona Q or the fighting games between release dates before. They are getting better.http://www.siliconer...legacy-in-2016/

Nintendo takes forever -- If anything, they are generally bad at it. One should also note that Atlus USA isn't that big, and like what was said by Yu Namba in that article in the SMT thread, the localization effort can vary between games. They do a lot of translation for a lot of different games, so I'd say they are doing well all things considered. Unlike Nintendo, which is a multi-million dollar company with a load do people to do the translation.Better but still not good enough.
I get the grieving though, I obviously live in Europe too, but since region lock isn't a problem anymore it's not that big of a deal for me. I just order it from overseas or download it through the e-Store and/or PSN store.

The case in point here is that Nintendo has the resources, whereas Atlus USA does not.Just because somebody else is worse doesn't make it better. Other small sized company's do the same thing with only days between the time. Look at Xceed for example.
The irony being, that Fire Emble is taking at least a year before it even ships to the West at all, whereas with Atlus it takes a month or something until it ships to the US.

Take into account that given a game's niche nature, it's also hard to market it, which is also something the localization has to take into account in the West when wanting to bring it over. The recent Person games are showing that the process is getting a lot better with lots of less waiting time. I get that waiting that long is annoying, but I also understand why it is happening.Yes and both of them deserve **** for it. Just more so for Nintendo.

You mean Sega, right?Well at least it means they might actually localize stuff now.
The Valkyria Chronicles sequels are sheit, so I don't care they are not shipping those, but Sega is essentially the ones who would prevent an Alpha Protocol sequel or Bayonetta 2 and instead relies on delivering more awful Sonic games. Good thing Nintendo stepped up for Bayo 2.
Croshaw made me want to play the Yakuza games, another franchise from Sega which has been hard getting licensed for the west, it also happen to have a small following. I'm getting very interested in all of these underdog games, ala Resonance, NieR, Yakuza etc.
