Awww but she was the closest to being my favorite. Oh well I guess i'll go for Chris first since it's the second worst and the idea of their relationship amuses me most. I may also get to see more of her epic dad and psycho eyepatch woman.

I have finished Ar tonelico: Melody of Metafalica recently, and thought I would share my thoughts on it. To put my thoughts into words is going to be difficult, but the attempt must be made for the benefit of others. This is, so far, my favorite JRPG I have ever played. Although I have much to experience out of this series yet, the first two games have impacted my summer greatly. To compare the two games together would be like me comparing an experience at a minor league baseball game and going to a major league game. The obvious difference between the two that can be seen is the price. All horrible jokes translated into text aside, it is more about the enjoyable experience. While with the first game I had a great time and had some great experiences, the second game excelled at magnifying both these factors as well as providing something new. That new "something", for me, was the combat engine. I admit that this combat frustrated me to no end when I first started, but the realization that it was great happened when I tried fighting the final boss of Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia again. I fought the final boss more times than I could count while waiting for the second game to arrive in the mail. But, after being introduced to the combat system in the second game, this boss battle is kind of hard to finish for the fact that it is just too boring. That's when I realized how much the new system makes you be part of the combat. Rather than sitting around waiting for each turn to finish, there is an action section that puts much more emphasis on defense for you and your reyvateils. Other things to mention would be extended lore, better character interactions, a bigger sense of group importance, a bigger sense of a need to progress in the story, the synthesis system as opposed to grathmelding, figuring out that the first three games are linked (What I assume to be mainly) thanks to this one, and a soundtrack that can only be rivaled by the first. This kind of turned into a review for the first two games, but I highly recommend that these games be played. They are obscure, they are fun, and they can be played on the PC without having to worry about not supporting the series. The only draw back is that if your PC has terrible processing/ bad graphics card you don't get the true version. I had to spend around $95 to play these on my original PS2 because of rarity. According to Liam and Gravis the version I played was inferior, and I am very aware of why that is. But, the fact that I was able to enjoy, "a game translated so poorly, that I'm convinced that the people at NISA didn't know English", shows that this game has much to offer to keep me coming back. I suck at reviews. I still have many things I don't know how to put into words, but I still strongly advise to try any way you can. Have some fun. On the agenda next is completing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1!
EDIT: Forgot to mention how great the girls are! Each have a unique skill type, they have great personalities, and above all else are dorky as hell!

*review snip*
A convincing recommendation.
I might just have to give it a bump in priority on the list of BSN suggestions.

Visual novels are like this.

They are not manga.
There's some other thread called the Anime and manga discussion thread, might want to go check that out.

I like how you immediately saved that image when I showed it to you.
Actually I just copied the url from when you showed it to me, but you did a good job of convincing me to read it.

I went the Wanko-Miyako-Momo-Chris-Mayucchi
Best gurl Wanko, no doubt. After that it's fairly even with Chris probably being my least favorite

Everyone likes Mayucchi as they should! I saved her for last since i had heard so much good about her. Most of it true!
If I would do a complete ranking it would be Wanko - Mayucchi - Momo - Miyako - Cap't - Chris

OK, after basically two months, I finally finished Neptunia.
Well I'm not good with words, so I'll just put it shortly: I had great fun with this game. Right from the characters to the gameplay, it was a blast to play it during times when it was stressful at work or any other day I just felt like playing. It was fun and I really got invested with the story (even if it wasn't anything special) and just had a good time. Looking forward to the sequels!

S-spinoffs!?
I thought there simply were the original ones, and updated ones (Rebirth).
Well this is great!
