Yes spin offs. They are a bit of a mixed bag but they are all worth playing. Well i'm not sure about black heart since I haven't played that one yet.

I really disliked Miyako's drama and lack of action in the route.
The only thing that really stood out in her route was Capt. Miyako's still overall a better character than Chris but her route isn't really what I expected of a Majikoi route.
Oh yeah and when it comes to Momoyo and Wanko's routes I honestly never know which one I prefer. Sometimes I prefer Wanko's while other times I prefer Momoyo's.

Fairy Fencer F is on sale on Steam and it looked somewhat interesting, though I'm reluctant to go out and purchase it just from what I've seen. Any in here knows the game (I read it's a slightly improved port from a PS3 game) and can tell what the game's like, maybe give out a recommendation?

It's goodish. Great soundtrack, solid protagonist but the whole thing felt like set up for a sequel.

In that case I'll rather hold on to that money for Tales Of Zestiria. Though how good is the soundtrack? I can always dig a great soundtrack and may purchase it seperately if it's good on its own.

Tales of Zestiria apparently sucks ass. Just a word of warning. The soundtrack is this good.

Eh, a bad Tales of is still better than the everyday JRPG run of the mill. Plus if things keep progressing as they are right now, pre-purchasing will also unlock Tales of Symphonia once it becomes available on Steam in the following year.

Most of my Tales of experience comes from playing the games over at and with friends since I never had a Playstation. Which is part of why I'm looking forward to the PC releases.

Tales of Graces is really really bad. A game so bad that it took ages to convince Bandai Namco to localize Tales of games again.

Well, that's bad and all, but do you mean that Zestiria is likewise such a horribly bad game or is your point meant to relativate my previous statement without directly drawing conclusions?
As I just said, my firsthand experience with the games is spotty, though what I played has by far and wide been very enjoyable (some of which might of course come from the fact that I played with friends).

I'm not sure if it is that bad. A few people who played the game that can read JP have voiced worries in that direction though.
Well there are loads of tales games try some other ones. Though you don't have a PS3 do you?
