Hey guys,

One quick question: when the very last dialogue with the Illusive Man occurs, why is the Paragon/Renegade option locked, since I maxed out in the Paragon direction? I was thinking I could change his mind about shooting Anderson, like I got Saren in the first game to shoot himself (not exactly what I wanted, but it got the job done, right? hehe).

Thanks! :)

Did you always pick the charm/intimidate options with TIM in the past? The final options to persuade him are only available if you've been actively trying to persuade him throughout the entire game.

I believe you have to select every persuasion option that comes up throughout the game, and there is one or more that can be missed if you don't explore all dialogue. Like, on Mars, there's a chance to use the charm or intimidate dialogue, but it's only available if you select the left side option after he mentions controlling the reapers.

Every time you speak with TIM, pick the dialogue on the left that will lead to choosing the paragon(upper left dilogue) or the renegade(bottom left dialogue) response. If you choose the paragon response on Mars and continue to choose the paragon response each time when talking with TIM, he will shoot himself. If, on Mars, you choose renegade response each time when speaking with TIM, a renegade interrupt pops up for you to shoot TIM.

Doesn't matter which option you pick (renegade or paragon), as long as you pick a persuasion option in each conversation

I've mixed the combinations around a few times and it seemed that only the last one really determined this. Personally, I'm a fan of the all-red dialogue with this guy, because it's a bit more gratifying to have Shepard seem a lot more fed up with his bullsh*t.

Isn't that what I posted?

I read it as that you continuesly have to pick paragon to get him to shoot himself, and renegade continuesly to shoot him yourself

edit: and apparantly I'm not the only one :P
