Dear Mr/Ms

Please for the love of God do not make Shepard a douche, I still don't know why in cannon lore of the games he killed Wrex, the Rachni Queen, didn't do the loyalty missions, left his crew to die on the collector ship and above all else didn't f!!k anybody! I don't care if you make his cannon story to be as paragon as possible but please don't make him a douche. Please do this for players who don't have the old save files which will be all ps4 and xbox one players as our save data is on our older consoles. I don't want the ME4 world to have no Geth/Quarians cause shepard was too busy to enforce the peace or to have violent krogans cause Wrex was killed in ME1. No one wanted Wrex to die and no one wants the Geth/Quarians to die.

One of the reasons I didn't enjoy ME3 was I didn't have an ME1 file on my ps3 and I hated playing ME3 until I went and bought ME2's backstory dlc. Whenever I think of cannon lore of ME3 I am reminded of some lyrics I heard a long time ago;

What do you do when opportunity knocks,

When success stalks and along comes fame?

Do you open the door or watch in horror,

Through the peep hole as they go away?

If anyone can tell how to move my old save data from my ps3 into a ps4 I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I don't see the problem. Why'd you care that Shepard hadn't saved a lot of characters you'd never heard of?

Because under cannon lore;

He left the Rachni Queen to die, so they probably aren't peaceful anymore.

He killed Wrex, so the Krogan are still violent as ever.

Jack never survived and so never went to make Grim Academy awesome

We either have no quarians or no geth because he didn't do any of the extra stuff to help them.

I mean try playing ME3 without a ME2/ME1 save file and don't do any extra activity just storyline mission. You will notice the story sucks hard and that you would have screwed over most the galaxy. Seriously who wants that as cannon lore?

Btw it's cannon lore because thats how ME3 is unless you have an import.

No one wants this as canon lore... so they have to buy ME1 and ME2 ;)

Yeah but the catch is I if they don't allow ME3 saves to affect ME4 games then we will have a huge ton of galatic problems. For example players who played ME2 remember helping a krogan get back with his asari girlfriend. It was nice to see them again in ME3 even though you saw his dead corpse, Char I think. Anyway, it would be nice to see how the quarians are living in peace with the geth or how the krogans are doing after Eve has been teaching them peace. Would you write an entire race into the game but only allow players with specific saves to see them? What about the endings of ME3? What if we got the synthetic one? Will everyone be part synth then?

Default and canon are two different things. Something that is canon makes every other choice non-canon. I.e, if the above points were really canon, saving the rachni queen, sparing Wrex, having Jack surive and qeth-quarian peace is always non-canon no matter what the player does. This is obviously not the case, so the default profile cannot be canon. The word canon means "rule/law".

The default profile in ME2 and ME3 is set to be as terrible as possible to convince the player to buy the previous parts so they can get a better outcome. It's literally as easy as that.

It's not going to matter anyway. All the endings were virtually identical except for the color of the explosions on your screen. Shepard dies, the relays were damaged, and the Normandy crashed. The galaxy rebuilt and life goes on. Bioware will decide on the fate of the Geth - sorry I think they're toast because they're kind of ugly and boring. The Krogan survive. And the rachni die. The Hanar are dead -- well they were a joke anyway. The Batarian hegemony is dead, but the Batarians aren't. Derperus is alive and well because you can't kill an idea, and Mac Walters is still around.

Just play the trilogy already. It's not called Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 for style...

I see your point but only after playing through without importing. The amount of missing dialogue/players is pretty spectacular. You even miss out on the "Big stupid jellyfish" line when with the hanar traitor and playing through a mass effect title without Conrad Verner in it is just wrong. It seems they're moving to a new region of space and in a new time period anyway so the events of the first 3 games will probably be irrelevant. Especially if (please no) it's a prequel.
