I wouldn't care if there wasn't one.  I usually just use one of the default character faces just because I would rather get into the game as soon as possible.

I personally can't understand using a default character when crafting your own unique character for the game is half the fun, but oh well. If they ever took out the CC I would be quite upset and I'm glad they always have it.

I hope for that too. Normaly I'm so impatient to start the game that I rush through the CC. Then when I play I find one thing in my character's look that I think is off (nose, lips or chin ect.) and it keeps buging me through the whole game.

Well, in DA2's case the default appearance was the best. For the male character at least. 

But that mainly because of the lack of everything in that cc. Like, for the love of god! If you make an rpg game with such a limited options regarding character appearance, I'll just leave the default presets and call it a day. It bothers me to no end how some somewhat "lesser" games like saints row have a better cc system. It's just nuts.

Well, in DA2's case the default appearance was the best. For the male character at least.

Also, it's not quite right what I said, I liked the default hair and face proportions, mainly. The rest I also changed, actually. So yeah, the lack of decent hairstyles and eye colors are the worst part of da2 and dao. Everything else I can tolerate... barely but still.

For DAO you needed to craft a good one, but for DA2 I loved the look of default fem hawke best, she is gorgeous.    Last playthrough I did I just used the default, didn't bother me.

Yeah, now we have a decent one but on the other hand the devs said that due to the new engine we more or less can forget abouth the mods. So, if we won't like the new system, it'll be pretty bad this time. 

 

It's not that I found the defaults flawless and being everything I was looking for, but I could live with it and not cringl every time I see Hawke's face close-up. Well, that's something.

Yeah, it seems like it'll be more intricate this time around, given the mention of scars and possibly freckles.

Yeah, except this time, maybe not have it bugged and upon importing into the game, turn all my carefully crafted characters into Hunchbacks of the Notre Dame with strange bug eyes. 0_o

I always used default male Shepard in Mass Effect. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make a male character that satisfied me like he did.

Isn't that...very opinion based? I find the default male Hawke pretty meh, bangs and a full beard? Yeah, no thanks.

Well, the beard bothered me so I changed it to stubble. And also changed his face a little. It's a good thing we have mods, after all. And by the end of all that he pretty much looks like Hawke from the trailer or close enough at least.

 

But then again. Even if I couldn't change anything, default Hawke looks better than anything I can come up with in this creator. Not because I can't imagine anything better, but because I can't make it.
