I know we can link our Bioware username and EA account info over in the Bioware forums, but I can't get it to work right for some reason I can't figure out, and thus can't upload my characters. I've linked the accounts, and then logged in with the Creator via that address. When I try to access my account via the link in the Creator, though, the first screen it takes me to is a page asking me to input all my setup info again. At the first screen, I get a "Display Name is in use" error (it doesn't even let me type in the box, though).

This would be much easier if the login screen in-game allowed us to input either our email address, or our Bioware screen name, to avoid jumping through all these hoops. My head is about to explode trying to figure this out, as I'm now jumping between my accounts on three different sites to try to straighten this out (Bioware's site, the social site, and EA's site).

Just noticed this topic:

http://social.biowar...ic/6/index/3725

"Now that the account is setup, I'm not sure if its possible to switch the display name to the Bioware account. I tried several things, but was stuck with the fact that my Bioware account used the same email as my EA account, so it wouldn't let me login with the bioware account because the EA account was already there. What I ended up doing was deleting my first profile I setup here, which was the EA account with a new name. Then I went to the Bioware forums and linked my EA account with my bioware account. Then I came back here and logged in with my Bioware account name and password and everything worked."

I had the same problem as you with the display name even though the PW and all is correct, refuses to let me use it.  So I just changed it for now and put who I am in my sig.

Thanks for the reply. Good thing this is Beta, so they have time to work this out. Everyone tells me I'm patient, and I consider myself somewhat of a techie, so if I'm ready to throw my monitor out the window, I can only imagine what is going to happen when the masses start showing up here. I think I'll just have to put this down and check back in a few days. If simply getting an account squared away can't be made easier, though, I'll be staying away from the social part, and just playing through the game.

I found I couldn't link or upload characters until I changed my EA password to something that didn't use special symbols (only letters/numbers). Then everything worked. After changing the EA password, I first linked my accounts through the EA Master Account area in the BioWare account. When in the Character Creator, I used the EA account email and my new EA password and it worked, when previously it would want me to create a new account like it did for you.

Not sure if that helps you at all, but I thought I'd mention it in this thread since it's somewhat related and might help someone else checking it out.

Venture, are you clicking on the "Upload Info" button or the "Online Profile" Button when you're done with your character? Online Profile will bring up this site in your browser, but Upload Info will upload your character from within the game if you've logged in to the Creator.

Thanks for the replies. I finally got in, but I'm not sure what I did. I just kept trying to link and unlink different email addresses, changing them here and on the EA site. It works now. I do think that an option to login from the Character Creator with a Bioware username would save many people the same headache.
