Sooo i remember reading in dragon age wiki that someone from the big staff (think David ?) said that Hawke and the hero of ferelden will be playing a very important role in inqui !. Is there any talk about it since ?? any news about those two and their role ?? because i would love to see their impact on the events !! i mean i have both of them mages and i would love to import them and see them help the mage resistance in inquisition :D (hope they'll be imported in the same designs )

oh and one last thing !, I wanted to know if hawke's apparition would lead to Anders too ?!!, since they fled this cursed city together finally ,so any news about that too? .

very important to me ,thanks for the responses.

I think it was Mike Laidlaw.

If they are there, i expect them to either be at the peace talks wearing a helmet of some kind (or something that covers there place) i don't expect them to say anything though, maybe the warden is just chilling with Teagan. Or maybe at some kind of Orlesian ball wearing a mask.

I think they'll mostly be important offscreen, to tell the truth. It seems he's saying something more along the lines of "your previous choices as the Warden and Hawke will be impactful" rather than them appearing and taking part in the story autonomously.

At the end of DA2 when Cassandra walks out of Hawkes house, Leliana comments that the Warden and Hawke have disappeared and this is no coincidence so I think the great evil may have snatched them both away and is keeping them prisoner somewhere so they cannot come to the aid of the calamity. Taking 2 hero's who could have stopped it from ever taking place and thus our choices will still be felt in the world from those two. IMO

It will be an important role. Their corpses will be displayed quite prominently.

Why do people insist on the Warden and Hawke getting killed off unceremoniously? It's pretty dickish of them tbh.

Would really like some explanation/closure on what happened to both the Warden and Hawke. Flemeth has her hand in it no doubt. And we can't import what our Warden/Hawke looked like into the game, just their choices so I'm doubtful we will see them physically in game.

Since that is the case I'd rather not see them in game at all since they'd be nothing but generic stand-ins for those of us who take great pains over character creation.

hum this looks possible but i dont think its gonna turn this way spcially for hawke.Cause in my scenario, if he go off with anders am pretty sure hawke in inqui will be helping the mages resistance around thedas . I'd like to think for hawke,we'll found him in some land or city( with Anders if he stayed with him) . As for the warden well...he sound like he could have been held up somewhere since he's more of a hero than hawke ! AFter all poeple will see hawke decisions differently ! A wanted apostate, a anti mage, fallen champion of kirkwall ect... No?!

I do prefer that the Warden and Hawke not be in the game due to the backlash of Revan and Jedi Exile in ToR.   Let the past be the past.Let the Inquistor be his own hero on his own terms.

IF there was a side game for them,I am up for it.

ugh i know its almost sad cause it feels real to be able to import your personal hawke, but at least the most important that will stay is his choices regarding the end and class and who he romanced !

dont you think it will feel great to see both the character you played with the decisions and the class you choose for them reflect on the following events !? It makes your playthrough even more personal !

Hahaha or maybe he'll come out of the deep road and be like wha !? Why is the sky green x)

I am thinking the impact of the Warden/Hawke will be more of a codex/gossip things you would get from companions and from your local barkeep, as for actually making a physical appearance the only one I could see happening is Hawke with their voices already being known, so there would be no backlash there from the fans, add a full helm to cover their appearance and win. With the Warden player's head cannon trumps developers intents, and it does make the fanbase quite vocal in their dissent about the portrayal of their Warden.

Well Choices matter. Even then, as much as I like my Warden and Hawke, their stories as of right now are over. So Let the past be the past.

The past has a way of coming back to haunt us or come back full steam with a kick in the teeth, depends on our choices!

Yeah, the fact is once a player character appears outside of the player's control, there is a natural sense of having something taken away - now they're not the character you poured time and effort into making, because someone else is pulling the strings. Sure, there's only a limited sense of control anyway, since you're confined to a set of specific actions when playing them, but when it's not you making those choices, what little control is there is gone.

So I'd rather that Hawke and the Warden not appear, that they're only talked about in gossip with unconfirmed rumors. The choices we made as the Warden and Hawke should get represented, but they shouldn't physically appear.

Yeah, I don't think that this sort of thing is likely, unless the devs really get a kick out of seeing fans cast about, raging on the internet. Besides, it's no better than simply leaving their stories off at their respective games. Sure, doing this would be closure, but it would be the quick, cheap, crappy kind of closure. Like, "Well the hero returns, SUDDENLY HE'S DEAD."

Don't need to kill previous hero's to have another hero, the world doesn't revolve around one person and there usually is more than one hero in a war.

Killing them off isn't a solution to appeasement, nor would showing them be an appeasement for some.

Myself, I want to see them. I don't care if their face is different than some I chose cause I played many wardens and hawkes that it varied greatly. Warden did have a voice technically. It was chosen at creation to do the action talks but not conversational talks. *shrugs* I don't see an issue. Again each of them sounded differently.

Considering its not a direct save thing, as long as gender, race, and personality of their choices is conveyed, I wont mind. Appearances can be altered in a world of magic easier than a world that doesn't have such.

i agree completely ,actually ,for someone who modded the appearances of his protagonists to looks freaking hot ,i would give it up instantanly for seeing their impact on the next events !! because you didnt just created an apearance, you also created a personality with its own choices and decisions and that is was mostly important ! After all guys ,dragon age inqui is the following events of DA2 ,not some new story about a knight rescuing his beloved in an alternative time !

what Hawke did ,what Anders did ,matter as much as any time now, maybe he wont be needed in a potentiel DA4 !. Also the hero of ferelden matter ! he's the only hero known across thedas ! of course people would need his imput when the world is falling apart under something maybe just maybe worst than the blight !

Nope.  I wouldn't mind hearing about them, maybe a letter to Cassandra from the Warden or a rumor about Hawke helping Anders blow up something, but I don't want to see them.  They won't be my Hawke or Warden.

I would love it if my Warden and Hawke appeared in Inquisition, but I know if they do they will probably have a helmet on or something, making them generic. Since I know it's impossible for Bioware to use our actual Wardens/Hawkes, I would be happy if the Keep gave us the option to input a few basic appearance things about them.

For example, if I told the Keep that my Warden was a HNF with fair skin and long black hair, I would like to encounter my Warden with a hood pulled low to conceal her face, but I could still see her fair skin and the long black hair spilling out from her hood. At least then, I could tell myself that it was MY Warden, even though I couldn't see her face, because I could still see some attributes that I had chosen for her.

Of course, I doubt this will happen, but I can dream. :)

it sounds nice, but then she would open her mouth and say something and I'd go Wait, My warden would never say that.  I have trust issues.
