i wouldnt count on this past tiny little conversation bits with alistair/morrigan/leliana/varric/anyone else that shows up

 

i mean i certainly wouldnt want them writing lines for the warden (hawke was always more on rails apart from their general dispostion so i dont really care if they show up) as they would undoubtedly make the character either do stupid things to advance the plot in some way (ala DA2) or just up and leave because reasons again

 

in other words if they add them in they'll just screw it up

Obviously not, if Bioware plans to let them appear in Inquisition. And how can people say their story is done, when Cassandra(you know, probably our most important companion) says at the end of Dragon Age 2 (before she goes to the place, where Dragon Age Inquisition starts) that Hawke may be the only one who can stop the mage-templer war (one of the main plots of Inqusition)?

Anyways, i hope both Hawke and Warden will appear in  Dragon Age 3 and I don't care how they look. We won't be able to import our saves, so it won't be the Hawke or Warden i played in Dragon Age 1 and 2. I will create a new Dragon Age 1 and 2 playthrough with the Keep and will just imagine my Hawke and Warden looked in the prevoius games like Bioware plans to let them look like. (if they appear physically)

what ? we wont be able to import our dragon age origin and 2  datas ?? from what i understand ,you say we need to play new playthrough on both with the keep to be able to import the most important decisions we took ?

There will be no importing saves into the Keep from DAO or DA2. You will select your choices, decisions, romances, etc., inside the Keep itself. That way you can easily change things around without having to have a dozen save files for importing.

I think they'll mostly be important offscreen, to tell the truth. It seems he's saying something more along the lines of "your previous choices as the Warden and Hawke will be impactful" rather than them appearing and taking part in the story autonomously.

 

I was deliciously wrong (in Hawke's case, anyway).

Funny thought, what if, as you are introduced to the characters you could customize them right before they are seen on the screen.  

 

INQ: I'm here looking for the Hero of Ferelden?  Is she here?  *in my cannon I was a female*

I truly doubt this will happen, but I chuckled.

I wonder when they will do it then; at the beginning of the game perhaps? I'm not too worried about Hawke because she/he was voice acted and they can just continue with whatever voice theme you went with in DA2 (aggressive?sarcastic/etc) but I'm not so sure about the Warden. Unless he/she remains silent.... that would be interesting indeed

oh i don't think the warden voice is such a big deal ! after all ,he didnt speak any long speech ! evryone could go with the wise voice i guess if this is the only issue ! 

but i like the idea very much ! shape the hawke and warden anew at the begining sound a very nice idea to me ! unfortunatly its probably not something the staff wont be doing anytime soon now ! thats it if hawke and warden are gonna be there in inqui !

Aw yis, I knew if Hawke/Warden/both would be in Inquisition that they'd be customizable.  I felt it in my bones.  I'm looking forward to this.

omg i cant believe that 3days or so after i posted this question , there's official news about them !!! (at least for hawke !) wow !!!! am so freaking happy i was just glad he show up in just his original features ! and from what am hearing ,they can be costumizable  !!!!!

You know what would be hilarious? Have Hawke, the Warden, and the Inquisitor talk to each other, the player selects text for the Warden and gets two dialogue wheels for Hawke and the Inquisitor. All three snark at each other non-stop. Varric joins in. Or narrates it, thus annoying Hawke.

maybe thats what the warden and Hawke look like to new comers to the game I mean Dragon age virgins wont know ho the hell they are unless they have seen them in older games

don't worry ,they said ,the keep will allow us to point out all the datas of your character (race ,gender, decisions and the romance you choose) but also it have been confirmed that it seems you will can costumize your hawke before starting the game ! so no need to worry (:

@ Andersfels-one:  I don't want to customize Hawke.  I want my Warden and Hawke...period.  If they can't import our character's faces in, then I'll just go with a default and forget it.  Yeah, I get the data part.  What I'm talking about is our actual character faces, this is what I'm getting at.

 

Still disappointed.  Hawke's story was ok, but I enjoyed my Wardens more so.  Just one more reason to leave the live warden hanging again or what I see as a way for Bioware to keep moving away from any live warden.  I was excited at first on this new game, but as more info comes out, not so much.  The environments look great, the rest is to cartoonish for me.  Is this a game for mature players, doesn't look like it to me.  I'll still buy it and play it, but I have to be honest, I've lost interest in this game, which is sad, since I've been with DA since the beginning.

I think it's great to see confirmation of Hawke in Inquisition.  Hopefully we can customise him/her to resemble some of our own versions of Hawke (and hopefully a few more customisation options new to the new CC just for fun too).

 

I'm really hoping the Warden makes a significant appearance in Inquisition also, especially with Morrigan returning.  Personally it would strike me as bizarre to try and resolve stories involving the previous protagonists without any sort of involvement.

I've keep up with the information on the keep so I fully understand the details.  I just watched the YouTube update on the details of the keep just released a few hours ago. If the sync feature uploads our characters faces from our game profiles then cool, that will be great, then we'll get our warden faces then.  This is the only thing I'm worried about at this point and mainly due to the discussions going on regarding only Hawke.  I'm more interested in my live wardens at the moment.  

 

What I mean by cartoonish is the placeholders pictures.  I guess I really don't like the artwork for them.  Everything else looks great.
