Sucks, but seems like an amicable departure and I wish him the best. Thanks for the space memories, good sir.

I didn't expect to read this today.
Not sure what feel here.
oh man, I still love bioware but I wonder how many are left from the Baldur's Gate Era?
Ah man... Probably the worst bit of news I've had in a while...
Still remember his voice in that first Mass Effect tech-demo from 2007. First thing I downloaded when I became connected to XBox Live.
Godspeed, Casey, you lovely, brilliant son-of-a-gun...

A lot.
A lot.
I will take your word for it then. ![]()
Oh cheat
Someone tell me, isn't this the guy that butchered the ME3 ending?
No.
In something like game-development, nothing can be attributed to a single person - it's far too expansive and collaborative on a whole.
That being said, I still can't help but view Casey as basically 'Mr. Mass-Effect'.
Wish him well on what ever he has planned for the future.
He's the reason you have Mass Effect in the first place. At least, one of the primary reasons.
He had a funny tweet about this a while back...
One day @DoktorZee said "I had a crazy title idea on the weekend: MASS EFFECT". I said "Well, I don't hate it," and we went with it.

Stop going on GAF.
Also I had no idea Casey was a pilot.
one big Smile, best news all day
my feelings are mixed.
timing is kind of strange though
I remember, a long time ago, when I became fan of Casey Hudson.
It was after I played ME2, which made me appreaciate games, films, book and similars more. I started carrying about soundtrack for example and pay more attention to the people involved. Eventually I replayed KoTOR and when the credits rolled I realized that Casey was not only in charge of Mass Effect but he had been in charge of KoTOR as well. And I became a fan.
It's sad to see him leaving Bioware, but all I have to say is two things: Good luck and gratitude for all you've done.
