This would be awesome (Though it's never going to happen).

I've never really wanted a Warden cameo but recently I was looking at how great the graphics were and I thought longingly about my Warden, all pretty and updated.

Lets say they had the warden in the new game... lets say you redesign them in The Keep.... let's also say it isn't so cringe worthy that our eyes expel our bodies at the velocity of sound.

If all those things were accepted as true, wouldn't it be awesome if Bioware hired the original 6 or so voice actors per race/gender to do the few lines of dialogue for the Warden? I think that would kick ass, though I know it would be expensive.

(As long as this small scene doesn't end in my Warden's death)

That's all.

Alas, one of the voice sets was done by Robin Sachs, so even if BioWare wanted to do this they couldn't get everyone back :( .

I think you're out of luck. From the Keep FAQ:

Is there a character creator?

Sadly not. The Keep will attempt to recognize your Wardens and Hawkes from previous playthroughs so they can be reflected as part of your history, but you won’t be able to edit appearances or customize new characters, as that information is not carried forward to future titles.

I think the only way we are getting a cameo from either the Warden or Hawke is silent and helmeted or as a causal reference in a chat with someone, most likely Leliana.

It would be nice to see them in the new engine, but unless it was a character creator we the player controlled we run the risk of another DA2 Alistair.

Another DA2 Alistair?  Confused there, killed him once he staid dead, sent him away once and found him in a tavern, most of the times set him up as King and he was King.   So, not sure whats up...

If worst comes to worst, just use the old lines.

"Wait...you're the Hero of Ferelden!"

"Yes. Shall I give you a ladder so you can get off my back?"

meh, aesthetics doesn't bother me. I know who they are, doesn't matter to me if they appear slightly different. Besides, Alistair had many clones in Origins and not so much in DA2.

I wish to encounter Warden and Hawke as long as I can build their history to what they did (done) thereby showing what type of person they would be. I changed looks of wardens and hawkes so many times that I couldn't settle with one specific one.

Hiring voice actors to do the Warden? Ummmm, the Warden had no voice!

Yep, there were VA for the Warden, they was not in dialog just world and such. I don't see an issue due to that fact, just what would the Warden be, as in, sarcastic, diplomatic or firm (forgot its actual name as I write this).

For some reason I have always had the impression that the person wielding the sword at 1:30 is the warden :o.

Yeah, pretty sure that's Cullen.

Personally, I do not want the Warden to cameo in DA:I.  It would really irritate me.  I wouldn't mind some references based on game state info from the Keep, however.

Impossible! That person is neither female nor a Dwarf. (It's Cullen though)

Anyway, I really really don't want the Warden or Hawke in this game. I don't want them to be Revan-ed.

character models in origins seemed sufficiently detailed.

certainly not Avatar caliber, but definitely good enough to prevent me from jumping ship for visual reasons.

I think it would be cool in theory, but I agree with a lot of you that it could be a major disaster. Especially if it went against everything we have all built in our heads for our characters.

I just really dont want them to do a cop out and have the warden start out dead. ( Unless they sacrificed themselves, obviously.)

funny thing, that phrase was commonly said by a city elf
