BattleField 4 is on “Game Time” on Origin

www.origin.com/en-us/store/free-games/game-time

So you can test the game for free (for a couple of days I think). And what this have to do whit DA:I? Well BF4 is a Frost Bite 3 game, and is a good reference for the computer system requirements  for DA:I, so if you what to know how your computer run the FB3 this is a good opportunity .

I don't know how accurate it can be. True both games use the same Engine but what each game does with said engine is going to be completely different. Inquisition isn't going to have to render grenade explosions and jet turbine exhaust.

I'd imagine it's a safe bet that if you can run BF4 you'll be able to run DA:I just fine - though I'm betting the latter is going to be the less demanding of the two.

I wouldn't really call it a good test.

Consider that every Mass Effect game ran on the Unreal Engine 3, with a pretty solid difference in requirements between ME1 and ME3.

True it won't run the same, but even devs have said that if your computer runs BF4 fine, then your specs are probably just fine for DAI as well

Eh, I don't really feel like downloading 30 GBs just so I can run it for a few minutes to see if I'll be able to run DA:I. If there was a demo for it I'd give it a shot. I used the 'canyourunit' site and it shows I can run it (not on recommended settings sadly). Hopefully that stays true for DA:I as well.

I believe that this will tell you how well your computer will run Battlefield. As for DA Inquisition, I think you will have to wait for a bit until we can put out the min specs. While the engine is the same the goals of the art within it are quite different.

OR simply go here and test your setup with BF4: http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

This is one reason why I like console gaming... No fear or worry that your setup won't be able to handle a game. Not that I'm elitist, I truly wish I did own a good gaming computer. There are some PC exclusives I would love to play, it's really disappointing to see a game only to realize you're never playing it because it's PC only (like that game "Age of Conan").

^Would highly not recommend Systemrequirementlabs. They are quite off with their calculations.

I recommend against believing what systemrequirementslab says. They are notoriously unreliable and it's more than a matrix checking for designations, not for performance. It will tell you you can't run a game on high settings because the recommended system requirements says Windows 8 and you have Windows 7, regardless if you have a 20k bucks PC that can run the game five times over at maximum quality settings.

Given DICE or whatever corp made frostbite 3 says there are still base coding issues with the engine reguardless of game and other coding done by different teams, unsure of how good of a test it will be for something bioware had to do some reworking to get da:i to work has they wanted, given the graphics and gameplay are different from bf 4.

They have a habbit of over estimating things at times, originally the specs for BF 4 where listed much higher then it currently tests for.

Well, but what if I look at it the other way around? If my computer can't handle BF4 at all, it won't be able to handle inquisiton as well?

Depends if you meet the min specs or not I would think.

Also part of the current issues with bf 4 is they didn't test the game on a whole lot of hardware so some of the issues is due to other things. Part of why I'm glad bioware hasn't released the system requirements yet means they are still testing hardware, if I recall right we had the syystem specs for bf 4 a little to early.

Could alwatys poke the people over at game-debate for the most part they get predictions right at times.

Just my two bits.

I'll give it a try. As some have stated, it's not really much of a test, but it will be cool to see what the engine is capable of.

Blech, I can't even play BF4. It keeps launching that battlelog crap and trying to force me download some browser plugin just to try out single player.... That's pretty asinine.

Happens with a lot of games now a-days and given the keep would expect some sor tof plugin to interface with the site,

Soooooooo is this a subtle way of saying DA:I may end up being more demanding? :P

Cuz I mean, BF4 is already kinda of a b****.  :?

I am so confused, I wanted to try BF4 and see how my PC handled it, but after downloading it and going to play, I just get redirected to the Battle  log website and I have to play from there? And then when I try that, it tells me I have to download another plugin? What even is this, like I'm going to be playing the game in my freaking browser or something. Is there any reason why I cannot just start up the game and pick a match from there?
