Photoshop! Vid or GTFO.

Well, I don't remember the last time I failed a gold with pubbers, Even with some really goofy loadouts and no voice communication at all (it's Europe, after all) people just kinda know what they need to do, and do it.

You gotta start believing in the pubs, guys! :)

Whooooooosh!!!!

-Join a Plat game with a Level 1 kit

-Evade getting kicked out of lobby because its a PUG and PUGers dont have brains

-Do nothing

-Profit

Apparently this strategy is all the rage these days despite its inefficiency.  New players feel that getting carried is more worth it in the long run than learning how to play the game.

Does this work on Silver? I've tried to do this in Gold pugs and I constantly die, clearly I'm not quite up to par yet. Also, is a Predator or Phalanx an okay substitute for the Carnifex? My Carnifex is only at rank II and doesn't seem to do enough damage, not to mention the lack of ammo has me running to an ammo box after every wave.

I've heard it's a good idea to put the decoy in the archway, that is the archway to the right in the image with the grab symbol. Apparently the Geth coming down the stairs outside see the decoy first and attack it, while the ones coming down the stairs inside mostly focus on the decoy as well. Is that legitimate advice, or is someone trying to pull the wool over my eyes?

This is why I liked co-op games so much, the community offers great advice as seen in this guide, instead of going on about 360noscopes and K/D ratios.

But I have never extracted from gold :(

:/

Well when you put it like that...
Ugh, try putting a scorpion on. I find that if there are any Geth that get through your teammate's counter-offensive (chuckle) the scorpion should stagger them safely for your teammates. Sure if you are using a Paladin you can kill them quicker but it is safer this way. I've only lost 1 out of like 3746373648 games with this setup, but it's probably my superior Xbox auto-aim that keep the ratio so high.

A message for you, because you're new : it's not a serious thread, but a parody which reminds us the old times when people used to camp Firebase White against Geth, before Bioware modify the map to prevent that. Don't take the posts in this topic at face value, it's comedy  ;).

Ahh, so it's FUNposting, then! I knew it was sarcastic, but people here responded kinda seriously.

I wanted to make a time machine joke, but someone already did it :(. This makes me extremely sad, it broke my existence; I don't know if I can continue to live anymore.

Sorry OP, but this is not the easiest way to legitimately earn credits. A much better technique is to get invited to a platinum match in progress (which contains 3 players) and join when wave 10 starts. The fact the players managed to reach wave 10 without you means they are almost certainly able to carry you to victory. The match will probably last less than 5 minutes and if you successfully extract you should get somewhere around 100,000 credits.

You just need to keep the 3 players sweet. There are a variety of techniques that can be used to do this ;)

lawl extract.

This is about making credits, wipe after the objective on Wave 10 or you are just wasting time.  ;)

Noob !

Do it with three friends and the host DCs after the objective is done.  He can rejoin after the host migration and you re-do wave ten objective again and again.

You may want to read the thread "Back in my day...." which was almost certainly implicated in the genesis of this one.

I just kept looking at the date and thinking "that can't be right."

Strong effort on the DLC rollback.

Speaking of CheatEngine, I just don't understand why it should have ever worked in the first place.  Maybe the lazy ME3 server should have calculated and stored all the credits itself.

Which is, curiously, what all other Origin-connected games do - keep all player stats server side. Why ME3 became the exception is one of those little unexplained mysteries.

Thanks. It's pretty annoying to do it on PS3, since all the DLC is copy protected (meaning they can't be transferred to a USB drive), and stored in the same file ("DLC & Patches"), so I had to redownload everything when I was done.

That's not entirely true. Bethesda's forum is amazingly respectful (or at least it was in my Morrowind-Oblivion-Skyrim time...now I barely visit it). Four minimally inflamatory posts like the ones that users like Aelodon or Deerber usually do and you were out. Forever. Also, they protected mod creators almost with overzealously (which it was sometimes bad, but those cases were the exception).

One shouldn't globalize when talking about official forums. There are some which are really bad, and others which are amazingly good. Like everything.

See, that's exactly why official forums are bad - they're overly moderated, and therefore biased. I've been to smaller OFs, which pretty much weren't moderated: every opinion was valid, no criticism was silenced, as long as it was presented in a reasonable way.

Yeah, but "Reasonable way" doesn't stands for "I'm gonna tell you that you're crap, althought with soft words so no one bans me". There's a line between being a critic, and just being a polite troll.

And it's like everything: smaller forums are gonna be better by nature. I play on a small Minecraft server which has barely any protections, and you can build wherever you like, and there are little to no big problems in there. Why? Cos it's small :P

As long as the opinion is honest, it can be as brutal as it can be. That's criticism. Trolling means that somebody's lying just to stir things up. Most moderators really confuse the two.
