Wow, people are freaking jerks, yes, PC is better in most areas when it comes to gaming, cause you can upgrade easily with new parts etc, you can´t do that with a console, you wait for next gen and hopefully to have the cash to get it as quickly as you can. And the technoligy moves forward so fast the when next gen is here, there are new and better stuff coming out.

i for one like to play games on both the pc and console for differerent reasons, PC cause it´s got some more freedom in Mods, and other 3rd party software (like teamspeak etc).

I play on my xbox, cause i like to sit in a sofa with my friends and enjoy a new game with them in person or to play splitscreen, and just hang out.

And to say that you wouldn´t want the game to be made on the former gens cause you want a better game/ more "quality" on YOUR platform is just egotistic and plain RUDE.

ON topic:

The xbox/ps3 version will have less of the fancy graphics but in gameplay perspective they will be the same, the dev has told us this before. We will just have to deal with it i´m afraid, but it will NOT stop me from enjoying the game just as much as the next gen/ Better hardware PC gamers. Graphics does not come before gameplay; EVER.

Yes, but even Skyrim had limits on its animation distances.

Waterfalls were particularly noticeable to be static water at a distance until you got close enough to burst into life.

Oblivion used to have grass that ran up hills as you approached them.

Latest generation kit should be able to banish most of the last of the content pop-in issues.

So PS3/Xbox360 will look similar but it will lack the detail and environmental flourishes.

Right, old consoles will obviously have worse graphics. I was just pointing out that the OP makes it sound as if they weren't capable of properly displaying an environment or handling NPC's, which is ridiculous.

Maker forfend that we may have fewer nameless rubes saying "Inquisitor" as we pass by. The game is going to look better than both Origins and DA2 combined anyway.

Um, I played DA:O and DA2 very recently and they had plenty of NPCs, you do realise those were last gen right? Also consider this, if the 360 version has a few less completely cosmetic people standing around not doing anything are you really losing anything? Yes the next gen version are going to be better comparatively to last gen but complaining about it is like complaining that my PS2 doesn't play Blu-Ray or like complaining that my iPod Nano can't use apps. Just as New Tech isn't going to always be backwards compatible you can't expect old tech to be forward compatible all the time. Time changes, tech changes, games change; this is a fact.

Wow, people are freaking jerks *snip*

I'm a PC gamer, and I dislike this as much as the annoyance console fanboys cause. PC isn't all that great guys, it's value for money, sure, but that's all there is to it. It has it's drawbacks. Get your heads out of the ground.

And then I see the rest of the thread.

What is up with this nonsense. PC gamers, I'm your biggest proponent on these and many other forums, but some of you are acting like idiots here.

Speaking as a console peasant, it seems pretty clear to me that most PC advocates in here are being tongue-in-cheek.

The NPC deal is a rumored I heard on another site, some guy said he knows someone from the Inside @ Bioware. but I thought Bioware employees had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement so they don't spill the beans on Upcoming games.

Such as Mass Effect Reboot, Mass Effect HD, Bioware Horror IP, or the Futuristic IP that has yet to be named.

I agree with others I think Bioware will show the same love on PS3-360 but it will just be Less in Graphics cause PS4 has more Tech under the Hood.

But Inquisition using my HDMI Cable on a 50 Inch Full 1080 TV the game will be Gorgeous so will other PS3 games from Mordor, Borderlands Pre-Sequel.

I am tired of people Making fun of me cause I choose to stay with my PS3 Console, Calling me a Peasant, or saying I have Money Issues.

The other day I bought 22 Playstation 3 games, The beauty of a Console getting Old is that games become dirt Cheap.

Also the reason my Caps are on sometimes, I am on a Laptop. Sometimes Hit Caps when I type.

There is nothing wrong with the PS3 & as long as PS3 is still supported I will keep on buying games on it being Multiplatform Titles such as Inquisition or others such as Mordor.

I think the Dude talking about NPCs didn't know what he was talking about, far as I know Bioware hasn't said anything being taking out or left out on the PS3-360 versions of Inquisition.

Finally in 2 more months I can play the game I have waited on for 4 Years.

Who else is getting PS3 Version, I am since I got the Deluxe + Book which costed me about 90 Dollars

I am tired of people Making fun of me cause I choose to stay with my PS3 Console, Calling me a Peasant, or saying I have Money Issues.

Why state "may of us .." if it is not about the money for you at all? Not to mention you actually have stated in the past that you don't have the money to buy a new console in a couple of your other threads. You tend to contradict yourself fairly often.

Mainly I think this is just a Ploy to get people to upgrade to a PS4 or X1 by saying the game is Better, more Visuals, Yatta, Yatta, so on & so forth pumping up the new Consoles. When in reality many of us can not drop down 450 on a PS4 or a X1, so we will be playing this on our 360's or PS3's for a couple of more years.

And why is the money issue important? Well that is because you have claimed to not have the money for it while buying many games, even for dirt cheap, it is adds up. I think gamers should be glad that the last gen has been supported for as long as it did but you can't expect them to give you the exact same experience as on current/next gen and on PC if the tech can't handle it. I am of the believe last gen has held back the technology for too long thanks to Sony and Microsoft waiting much longer to introduce next gen than usual. It is about time to finally get games in true HD and with more than just a handful NPC because last gen couldn't handle it.

I suppose they could just leave all the NPCs and whatever else in the game for previous gen, so it won't even run without crashing. That seems better, right? ;)

The intent is to keep the game playable on all platforms; not to rip anyone off.

I think it's rather self evident that the last gen version will not be as good as the new gen. They need less textures, npc's on screen and draw distance etc. so the less powerful hardware can handle it.

If there wasn't a noticable disparity between the two, that would warrant far greater criticism.

The hardware is a decade old. Expecting those versions of cross-gen games to come anywhere close to the versions of the games running on modern hardware is wishful thinking at best. Why should the developers strip features from the versions running on modern hardware to create parity with old hardware? That's utter ridiculous.

People not being about to buy current generation consoles for whatever reason is completely and utterly irrelevant. Developers are going to take advantage of this hardware whether you have it or not.

While comparatively to the PS4 etc. versions it may be "barren", there was plenty of content in both DAO and DA2 to satisfy all, I think it may be less populated etc. but the main content will remain the same.

Much ado about nothing I think.

I'm just going to ask my usual question for one of the OP's threads-- what's with all the random capitalization? -- and bow out.

They might be German.

I choose to read the posts out loud while doing a Christopher Walken impression to get the most out of the capitalizations.

I now hope for the sake of the OP they strip out all the good features and boil the ending down to three colored choices for PS3/360.

Lets see how much chaos that causes.

As long as I can play the game smoothly on my laptop without the dialogue being out of sync with the animation, I can do without some bells and whistles. I could barely tell the difference between Far Cry 3 on high and medium, so I assume DAI will be roughly equivalent to that.

So do I have the basic gist of this thread right?

OP: It's been said that the PS360 versions of DAI will be missing a lot of important NPCs. I think that's terrible!

Posters: When was that said?

OP: Just now. By me.

Thank you, oh great voice of reason.
But yeah, even while PC's are the obviously superior machine, most people are just trolling the OP (because OP is a troll) hoping they'll throw a hissyfit and have another self-imposed exile.

About the only thing I see them removing is certian visual effects, what we have seen of npcs and graphics so far older skins and so on.

I would say probbly bde like playing it on medium or low graphics with pc with more rougher edges. Don't see them removing npcs has that is always a hallmark of an rpg.  More fancy visual stuff maybe  not getting certian visual effects and so on. You won't have anything close to eye bleeding and wow effects.

If you know the risks to buying an outdated platform's version for a game then don't buy it? If you want the best version available you're just going to have to fork money over to get the better experience. If you can't afford it hold off on buying DAI if you have that much doubt and buy it down the road when you do get better hardware. It's not going anywhere. Bioware can only do so much on hardware that's around 9-years-old. I think expecting the same experience as next-gen hardware is completely unrealistic. At some point you have to cut old technology off.

The game being on PS3/360 hurts us gamers who early adopt technology. It goes both ways. We're not getting the absolute best experience we can get either because they're handicapped by the lowest common denominator in the bunch. I'm willing to bet a lot of the technical limitations in DAI are largely because the engine had to be coded with PS3/360 limitations in mind.

It sucks but this is a sandwich we all have to take a bite out of. Just enjoy it for what it is and focus on the things they are doing right. The positives will certainly outweigh the negatives, IMO. No game is perfect.

It doesn't matter the order of how I worded it, it still the same thing. Both versions look amazing.

PC does what consoles does way better in every aspect. OP - I reccomend you sell anything you dont need and buy a solid PC for dragon age Inquisition. Do it for yourself. For your wellbeing. Game with pride.

Warning: May cause side-effects like smugness and elitism ;)

Nop, i hate dealing with overheating and repaste the cpu and gpu.
