Shepard the Arsonist

[About]
This class build focuses on easily stripping away enemy armour and creating fire explosions. It may not be the most effective build, but it certainly is a very interesting one, especially for a Renegade Shepard.
[Powers]
Tactical Cloak (6) - Damage, Recharge Speed, Bonus Power
This can be used tactically or to make your fiery powers more devaststing.
Incinerate (6) - Damage, Burning Damage, Armour Damage
Focuses on one target, but it is more damaging.
BONUS POWER: Inferno Grenade (6) - Radius, Max Grenade, Radius & Shrapnel
Not as strong as Incinerate, but helps in crowd control.
Operational Mastery (6) - Weapon Damage, Squad Bonus, Damage & Duration
A boost in all aspects of an Arsonist.
Fitness (6) - Durability, Shield Recharge, Durability
Usually not a melee character, so its best to know you can last quite long.
[Armour]
Go for Inferno Armour to help in power damage (plus, the name suits well). You can alternatively use Cerberus Spirit Armour as wrll.
[Squad]
James is a must in the squad. If you configure his incendinary ammos to be provided to squad members as well, you've already practically created three little pyromaniacs. He also has frag grenade for crowd control and carnage for assistance in fire explosions.
Your other squadmate should be able to deal with shields/barriers quickly and have some crowd control, since you primarily focus on armour.
Kaiden has Reave and Overload to help strip away barriers and shields (respectively). He also has Cryo Blast to weaken armoured targets for you.
EDI has overload to help in shields. She also has Decoy for some crowd control. She can also assist you in your fire squad with Incinerate.
Tali has Shield Drain as a good source for anti-shields. She also has a Combat Drone (and maybe Defence Drone) as great crowd Control.
Though Tali seems to only use Combat Drone and Energy Drain in most cases, she seems to be the best 2nd squadmate in my opinion.
[Weapons]
Any SMG, Paladin or Talon can go with this build. Though the best would be the Lancer; which provides a huge rate of fire but still deals high damage.

Yeah sounds like fun. Pairing some Chain Overload squaddies with your Inferno Grenades will cause a lot of fire explosions.

Now even more replies.
This build is one of the most interesting specialist builds I've seen in a long time.
Nice use of incendiary powers for fire explosions.
EDI and James Vega complement this build very well.
You can get incredible power damage bonuses from the tactical cloak.
Also fire explosions are fun. ![]()

This is intriguing. I do enjoy setting my enemies on fire and making them explode.

Engineer with incinerate and Vega with squadmate incendiary ammo gives very nice explosive kills.
As Zaeed says, LET THEM BURN.

One thing to mention...
You could consider throwing some Sabotage action in there for Tech Vulnerability and get even more burn damage off of Incinerate.

That sounds good efficent-wise, but...
>I wanted the class to be purely made to burn
>Console can only have you use up to 3 powers to be used instantly

I'm currently putting bodies in the incinerator in the Purgatory Prison-Ship in ME2

I'm curious to know if its more effective if we are to replace inferno grenade with carnage

UPDATE

Depends.
Grenade pickups on missions are rather erratic, so you may find yourself hording grenades or using them all and never finding many replacements on missions.
Most bonus powers will have longer cooldowns than your native powers. Carnage in particular will have a longer cooldown than your Incinerate, so if you plan on setting things on fire, then Inferno grenades or Incinerate will be better Carnage. After that all you need is a detonator, either Sticky grenades or another bonus power, such as Carnage or Proximity Mine. You can use a squadmate's power to detonate but they have longer cooldowns than Shepard or limited grenades as well so they cannot always be counted on.

He's running an Infiltrator though, so mostly the Carnage CD won't matter too much. Even with bonus power he could run his cycle Cloak-Incinerate-Carnage.
Overall I would prefer Infernos since I already have Incinerate, but actually an infiltrator with Carnage sounds sort of interesting and might be something I try since I haven't done a run like that. Although I still think maybe I should run a different chargeless Vanguard w/ Carnage (ME1).

I guess its a problem if I start to run out of inferno grenades. I'm on ME2 and grenades act like powers, so you don't run out of them.

I was thinking mostly about priming with Carnage, which is why I brought cooldown into the discussion, and why I felt Incinerate was the better fire primer than Carnage.

Incinerate is a better primer than Carnage.
Of course it is. No disputing that. I just misunderstood his post where he wondered if Carnage would be better than Inferno Grenades, and I assumed he meant for priming.

Are grenades in singleplayer found like thermal clips or are they found in crates similiar to multiplayer?
Because when I made this build, I assumed I am able to find grenades almost anywhere.

They can be found on the ground or in crates.
Some missions have more grenades than other missions.
For example, I think I found only one grenade on Priority: Rannoch, whereas Mars seems to have a few grenade pickups lying around. The six N7 missions have the replenishing crates like they do in multiplayer. The crates in other single player missions do not replenish.
