Hey Bioware, you probably need to delay DAI into 2015

Let the fan boys buy it day one OP, then you'll know if the game is good when you later check on user reception.

Pro tip, avoid reading the reviews giving 0/10 or 10/10 these are either dumb haters, who usually just write "this game sucks" or fanboys who can't spot a flaw if it kicked them in the ass "OMG best game ever, can't wait to buy DLC"

Someone must check his sarcasmometer because it's clearly broken

My sarcasm detector is fine, you just see so many people ragging on DA2 and ME3 that it was just hard to tell if you were being serious or not?

Let's be honest...

Yes, let's be honest.

You have no idea in the world what the state of the game's development is, the specific reason(s) for the delay, or what impact any further delay might have on anything at all.

[EDIT:  In fact, you're being a poster child for "Internet Troll", and I'm sorry I rose to the bait.]

I love it when fans tell game developers how to do their job, even though said fans know squat about either the state of the product nor the development processes.

I am certain the OP will end up being "right" only because people like the OP will see any bug, any problem people may have with the game as a confirmation they were right all along. With that kind of attitude you simply can't be wrong knowing no game is perfect. I am not a fan of said attitude because no game will then ever meet up with your standards. It is fine to have critiques but some gamers see faults in any game to the point they can't appreciate a single game and every game "obviously" needs or needed about 3 delays.

Like anyone actually writes reviews like that. Other then Ign. And Gamestop. But seriously, nobody writes like that. And scores are an outdated concept.

I imagine the OP will buy it day one just to be all like LOLOLO I told you so when he encounters a single bug.

The 1/10 reviews happens a lot in places where gamers write their reviews just to taint an overall score out of spite because they bumped into one bug, think the graphics are outdated, hate the ending or simply because they like to hate on a publisher or developer.

And even though gamers rate that lowly or some sites rate too highly I don't believe scores are somehow an outdated concept. Scores are more than often personal but it does give you an idea of what the game is like from trusted reviewers without having to read mutliple reviews from beginning till end, some times with spoilers to see if a game is worth it or not.

And yes, someone like the OP will end up saying I told you so even if they stumble upon one minor bug, which will happen. It is fine to critique games but some gamers have expectations which simply can't ever be met and they don't even seem to realize it.

Delays not always making game better. Example? DNF. It was announced when just came to school and it was released years after i finished any of the schools. And DNF turned to be the crappiest game i ever played.

One game out of how many? You honestly can't compare DNF with a normal delay.

Of course not, because I know what to expect from user reviews.

Scores are outdated because if I give a game 5 out of 10, and it is a good game but very buggy/has some flaws then people will look at that and say ermagherd you hate this game. the exact problem is that people look at a score and don't read the review, when the review might not be representative of somone's opinion.

Tbh, this kind of thing is the reason why id rather play games myself & form my own opinions about them rather then use player reviews, im already certain that the ex BW fans who hated the ME3 endings are gonna spam review sites saying how awful Inquisition is & how BW/EA are the worst companies ever no matter the quality of the game.

If it happens, I don't see why it would, I'll worry about it when that time comes. All I know, at this time, is that on Nov. 18th, I will be playing the game

That's cause at some point people got the foolish idea that anything below 8/10 is a bad game. When in reality plenty of good games are about 7/10. Dragon Age 2 included is a 7/10 game. But if you don't trust numbers at all, there's always gameplay videos on youtube that you can look at. Bear in mind though, that demo gameplays don't represent the game in some cases, since devs and publishers, will often release very polished sections of the game to fool people, or in some cases like in Aliens: Colonial Marines, the part that was released or shown to the media, won't be in the game at all.

I'm sorry but your post is assuming a lot and many of your reasons are based more on opinion and speculation than facts.

Also a lot of what you perceive as fears have not even been confirmed by any Bioware staff -Multi player and Microtransactions being the primary focus. Though frankly those fears are rather unwarranted as Bioware has developed very well done multi player games in the past (Neverwinter Nights which people still play together to this day) and ME3 multi player is quite solid and I personally have not spent any real world currency on microtransactions which shows it is very well balanced in that regard.

Enough about this already. The game has ALREADY been delayed a whole year, and now they want a couple more months to fix bugs and polish. Obviously EA has been less strict about the release date now that they've seen what multible rushed/unfinished games does to their already shaky reputation (another game from EA was also announced to be delayed at the same time as DAI, don't remember the name).

Let's be honest one delay is usually indicative that a game isn't going to really complete or ready upon the second projected release date and to be honest your recent track record isn't strong when one of your mega franchise titles is pushed back a few times and out comes ME3 with it's various flaws and wide spread criticisms from fans and critics.

Sure the shareholders are scaried about the impact the Witcher 3 could have on DAI's profitability if they are released in close proximity but then again does anyone really think that the Witcher 3 will completely overshadow DAI or rather those who are going to buy one or the other or both will still do the same no matter when either is released anyway.

Are you confident in your development with the Frostbite engine? Even DICE who built the Frostbite engine released a buggy mess in Battlefield 4 and then could you really release a shaky bug ridden game even if it only takes a little more time to release a refined masterpiece that could ultimately return Bioware to it's glory days.

And let's not forget the most important need and desire coming from EA for multiplayer and the inevitable microtransactions. If DAI gets properly pushed back then there is all the time in the world for DAI to get a proper MP rather than shallow and short sighted ME3MP. IF DAI MP is exceptional it could keep a high volume of players playing for a even longer time than the run ME3MP had.

Hm...

I don't know - I would suggest we wait until after GamesCom (the are probably going to show new material there, aren't they? - Sadly, I am not going this year...would have liked to...haven't been there in a long time (have been to the last "Gamescon (yes "con" not "com")...and it was quite fun, never made it since then, because I'd like to go with friends...alone isn't as much fun)

And furthermore, I don't know, if further delaying it, wouldn't hurt them even more (loyal fans waiting longer and longer for a game is not nice...I for one rather have a few (if it's not unplayable - after all, I played "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" which was rather buggy and other games which had bugs, but were very good otherwise!) bugs (note: a few, not hundreds or thousands) and get the game this year than getting another delay :(

greetings LAX

If another delay meant more content could be added, that would be one thing. But Inquisition is past that point; the recently delay of a month is merely for polish.

I'd wait longer if it meant I could possibly see more content such as more voice options for the Inquisitor (Welsh/Irish for Dalish?) but that's just me.

I am sure if Bioware had needed the time they would have pushed the game back further than November. So someone hog tie the OP for even suggesting it get delayed further.
