I would like to point out that from what I gathered from all the E3 footage was that EA was taking steps to be a bit more transparent when it comes to developing their games. Like the Mirror's Edge 2 stuff. "We are working on it. But we didn't want to show a trailer full of things that won't make it to the game. We didn't want to pay a third party company to make a CGI trailer that might have nothing to do with what we end up doing. This is what we have now. Sorry it doesn't look finished."

Then all the Mass Effect 4 stuff. Again it was all, "what we have now!"

And ALL of the in-development EA titles were all, "Ready when it is ready!" There weren't release dates for Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect because it appears that the new EA policy on some of these... non-factory line games is to let them develop at their own pace.

Also, while there still may be micro-transactions for Inquisition, ever since the idiot MULTIPLAYER FOR EVERYTHING CEO left EA there hasn't been a whisper of MP content for Inquisition.

TL;DR: If Inquisition wasn't on course for its November release, if wouldn't have the November release.

i said "not Always" and not "Always".

Another Delay-tastic game that was crap: Duke Nukem.

See also, Delayed and Bugtastic and horrible game breaking bugs: Skyrim. Fallout 3. Oblivion... any Bethesda game really...

Maybe the saddest part is the people believed that i wasn't sarcastic.

This should tell a lot about what happened in those months.

My sarcasm detector is fine, you just see so many people ragging on DA2 and ME3 that it was just hard to tell if you were being serious or not?

Poe's law. Seriously, I invite you to look that up because it certainly applies here.

Are you confident in your development with the Frostbite engine? Even DICE who built the Frostbite engine released a buggy mess in Battlefield 4 and then could you really release a shaky bug ridden game even if it only takes a little more time to release a refined masterpiece that could ultimately return Bioware to it's glory days.

The only reason why BF4 is a bugfest because it was rushed. DICE would never release a broken game, their history of games proves that. BF3 was good on release, it had few problems but it was good. However you shouldn't be surprised since most games just end up being buggy or suck everytime EA is behind them. I won't be surprised if they screw up Mirror's Edge 2 or new Battlefront.

I think Bioware/EA will make that decision on their own. :/

If BioWare delays Dragon Age into 2015, I would cry tears of unfathomable sadness. 2014 has already been terrible in terms of delays.  I mean ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.  Why would you want them to delay it again?  Are you out your mind?!

So basically OP wants multiplayer added in.

Not necessary. Happy enough we actually have playable races and selectable voices.......... The game never needed MP.

Let's be honest one delay is usually indicative that a game isn't going to really complete or ready upon the second projected release date and to be honest your recent track record isn't strong when one of your mega franchise titles is pushed back a few times and out comes ME3 with it's various flaws and wide spread criticisms from fans and critics.

Sure the shareholders are scaried about the impact the Witcher 3 could have on DAI's profitability if they are released in close proximity but then again does anyone really think that the Witcher 3 will completely overshadow DAI or rather those who are going to buy one or the other or both will still do the same no matter when either is released anyway.

And let's not forget the most important need and desire coming from EA for multiplayer and the inevitable microtransactions. If DAI gets properly pushed back then there is all the time in the world for DAI to get a proper MP rather than shallow and short sighted ME3MP. IF DAI MP is exceptional it could keep a high volume of players playing for a even longer time than the run ME3MP had.

Yawn

Some funny facts for you. If your first paragraph is true, then your second makes no sense, since we do not know the release date of Witcher 3, as it... was meant to be coming out this year. Indeed originally it was meant to be coming out around about the same time as DA:I until they delayed until next year. Remember one delay usually means more delays, so Witcher 3 is clearly going to be delayed again right, so no risk then. Or you could be talking nonsense.

Battlefield 4 has already been pointed out it was a server issue. Last I heard EA was moving away from the Multiplayer idea, and indeed even then the original request was a online aspect, which has been met by Dragon Age Keep. As for ME 3 MP. I loved it, I really loved ME Multiplayer as a guy who usually hates such things, it was impressive it was fun and it never made me feel like an idiot getting shown up by Teenagers. So hey if DA:I does have Multiplayer I hope it takes after Mass Effect 3's Multi player.

As it is, this year has been the year of delays, anyway, most of the games I was looking forward to have been delayed.

This game already got a year extension on top of a project that was already in development for a few years. It's coming this year ready or not. EA has almost nothing in that quarter to lift them financially. They clearly expect DAI to give them a nice quarter boost in the holiday season. Coming out right around Black Friday. Perfect time for them. The game was just now evaluated on how long a delay needs to happen and they only decided a month. They're allowing media demonstrations now. That extra month delay could've been just to ensure enough polish on an already polished game. Maybe they wanted it all by itself instead of a crowded October with Destiny/Shadows of Mordor only a month before. Destiny is probably going to dent sales around it whether they're competing in the same genre or not. Gamers are going to be sitting on that game for awhile due to the MMO grind nature it has.

Where did you see that?

I meant to say they're already showing a lot of demonstrations off to the media with their hands on the game. I'll edit that out. My bad.

*edit* damn you auto-correct!

I just don't understand how people act as though they know things when they so clearly don't.  "You probably need to delay DA:I"  as though you have any idea of anything.  Did you take a tour of the studio?  Did you play an alpha version?  Do you know anything about game design?  Have you ever developed a game?  Are you familiar with EA's business plans?  The list goes on.

It reminds me of when people have political opinions based on having read one Wikipedia article that they regurgitate wherever they may go in an attempt to look intelligent and well-read.  It just boggles my mind.  You could have said "why would there be a delay of only a bit more than a month?" which may have actually gotten an answer.  Instead you say you know why and you think they should just delay it more.  You don't know, sir.  I think there's so much information available now that people feel pressure to be as intelligent as they can without any actual work.  I wish I knew why people insist on saying they know things that they don't.

This.  There's been a lot of topics that amuse me because they all say some form of the same thing, 'this first delay isn't long enough you better delay it again or else its just horrible.'   Um..it's the second delay actually

Bioware is quite notorious with delays at least recently with their games. I don't think they have any choice but to release it this year. Does EA even have anything for the 4th quarter other than Dragon Age? I don't know what their projected numbers are but I'm assuming they think an AAA game like this could at least sell a few million in the first month.

So you're an fan of Bioware yet you post this bs??!! C'mon, knock it off with this nonsense. If a company realizes it's faults, takes in fan feedback and ask for more time to make the game better, you should be happy and grateful for a game developer that cares for it's product and fans.

The game is not out yet, you have no idea if they've taken in fan feedback, unless you're naive enough to believe the devs by their word. Publishers and devs have lied in the past and Bioware is no exception. We'll see how the game turns out after it has been released.
