Let's be honest one delay is usually indicative that a game isn't going to really complete or ready upon the second projected release date and to be honest your recent track record isn't strong when one of your mega franchise titles is pushed back a few times and out comes ME3 with it's various flaws and wide spread criticisms from fans and critics.
Sure the shareholders are scaried about the impact the Witcher 3 could have on DAI's profitability if they are released in close proximity but then again does anyone really think that the Witcher 3 will completely overshadow DAI or rather those who are going to buy one or the other or both will still do the same no matter when either is released anyway.
Are you confident in your development with the Frostbite engine? Even DICE who built the Frostbite engine released a buggy mess in Battlefield 4 and then could you really release a shaky bug ridden game even if it only takes a little more time to release a refined masterpiece that could ultimately return Bioware to it's glory days.
And let's not forget the most important need and desire coming from EA for multiplayer and the inevitable microtransactions. If DAI gets properly pushed back then there is all the time in the world for DAI to get a proper MP rather than shallow and short sighted ME3MP. IF DAI MP is exceptional it could keep a high volume of players playing for a even longer time than the run ME3MP had.
Yawn
Some funny facts for you. If your first paragraph is true, then your second makes no sense, since we do not know the release date of Witcher 3, as it... was meant to be coming out this year. Indeed originally it was meant to be coming out around about the same time as DA:I until they delayed until next year. Remember one delay usually means more delays, so Witcher 3 is clearly going to be delayed again right, so no risk then. Or you could be talking nonsense.
Battlefield 4 has already been pointed out it was a server issue. Last I heard EA was moving away from the Multiplayer idea, and indeed even then the original request was a online aspect, which has been met by Dragon Age Keep. As for ME 3 MP. I loved it, I really loved ME Multiplayer as a guy who usually hates such things, it was impressive it was fun and it never made me feel like an idiot getting shown up by Teenagers. So hey if DA:I does have Multiplayer I hope it takes after Mass Effect 3's Multi player.
As it is, this year has been the year of delays, anyway, most of the games I was looking forward to have been delayed.
