One concern (or request more appropriately) regarding the plot.

From what we know so far I'm actually quite intrigued by the plot, there are so many unknowns and possible twists I can't wait to get my hands on it.

That said there is one thing that.. Concerns me?

Now I'm all for the Inquisitor being a chosen one and all, but can we please get and in-depth explanation in-game (one that's also logical) as to how he survived the blast and perhaps exactly what is his mark/scar capable of? Unlike Shepard's "Oh you have a mind strong enough to understand the prothean beacons, how fascinating", I kinda understand it was made ambiguous on purpose, but for this game it'd be really lovely if that doesn't happen again.

It's just in my opinion, understanding where you power comes from can help you utilize it to it's greatest strength and potentially add more depth to your character and the plot.

May seem like a silly/annoying request and if it's so, I apologize. But I do feel like saying what's on my mind because I'm having supremely high hopes for the game.

I agree, I'm hoping to some level that is what Solas is for.

According to Cassandra, the Inquisitor "walked out of the Fade" and "escaped the blast that killed thousands".

Those two statements either explicitly or implicitly confirm that the Inquisitor was elsewhere while the Breach was killing everyone at the peace conference.

His or her power is obviously linked to this. Either the Inquisitor is directly or indirectly responsible or was intended as a scapegoat by the actual perpetrator. The power is directly linked to the circumstances surrounding that event.

I'm sure that as the game is being played, it will be learned how the Inquisitor survived the blast and why he/she was there.

With Shepard. He/she was able to understand the Prothean language because he/she was given the cypher from Shiala on Feros who got it from the Thorian.

I'm referring to how he survived the visions. That was never explained, and it was intended.

Same reason Saren survived them. Some people are strong willed. And just so you know, its not he, but he/she.

That's your reason, Bioware devs made the reason remain ambiguous. (They never really talked about it. That speaks for itself.). As I said, a more indepth reason would be more appropriate. (for DA:I I mean)

And yes I know Shepard is a he or she. And just so you know, 'He' can be used to refer to a person of either genders if it's unspecified.

If its such a concern for you, why not make a thread about that in the Mass Effect section? And when you say he, most likely people will assume male and not female, correct?

I edited to clarify that I meant it for DA:I, Mass Effect is over.

As for the latter, it doesn't really matter which gender they assume because it's quite irrelevant, I'm talking about 'his/her' ability to survive the beacon, not 'him/her' in person.

Where was it ever stated that the beacons were killing people that came into contact with it? The Asari had their own run ins with Prothean tech and for the most part it only empowered them more so. Why is it that you believe that forced mind transfers would kill the very aliens they were trying to warn/communicate with?

Because it was heavily implied so when Kaidan/Ashley come into contact with the beacon. Secondly regarding Asari, they could've had a few Asari who were capable of handling the beacon transfer since a process of joining is something they do with ease, but we know very very little about that. No other species is ever known to have been able to activate the beacon and recieve visions then survive. Finally protheans used the beacons to communicate with eachothers since no other civilization was advanced to fathom receiving information through the brain.

The whole deal is pretty ambiguous, I'm okay with that. But I want a clearer explanation to our Inquisitor's powers.

Liara does state that she thinks the beacon would have killed somebody less strong-willed, and is impressed that Shepard survived.  But that's pretty vague--it doesn't mean that most, or even a very significant number of people, would have died in the same position.  I don't think much more explanation is really needed than that, really.  It's also impressive when, say, somebody survives a heart attack, but that doesn't mean that person has special powers that ensure heart attack survival.

But that said, I think the Inquisitor's survival is a much bigger mystery, and is set up as one.  I highly doubt they'd bring up the question of the Inquisitor's glowy green hand and never address it at all.

Hopefully the Inquisitor was branded on purpose by some chaotic demon wanting to 'shake things up', and it was this mark that allowed him to survive.

Too late for requests I'm afraid, but hopefully we will get a proper explanation once the game comes out.

I, personally, think Flemeth will have rescued the inquisitor and provided a mark that would enable closing the veil tears.  Why not?  She's the one who saved both the Warden and Hawke early in the game.

I don't know ._.

Hawke was doing pretty well against the darkspawn, better then the Warden at least, no arrows through the face for Hawke!

As Magadalena11 has already said, both the Warden and Hawke survived likely death because of intervention by Flemeth.  Perhaps Flemeth "saves" the Inquisitor as well.

But there could be some variations on it.  Maybe this time though the PC won't know that Flemeth is behind his rescue until later.  Or perhaps it's some rival of Flemeth's that we haven't met yet that is responsible instead.  Either way, it's possible that some figure behind the scenes is involved in the Inquisitor's survival and that discovering that and reacting to it is part of the story.

Hey,

I've got your back on this ;) (meaning: I support it)

This is exactly what I hope for (I hate having your hero being declared this super-human something powerful whatever and nobody ever tells you the Why and How...that's why I actually hate having a protagonist who is supposedly the only one who can do a certain thing...I have no problem having RARE ABILITIES...but having abilities no one else has or has had in history...that's not much to my liking...but if it is explained, it's acceptable :) )

greetings LAX

You didnt survive, you died, and a greater pride demon possessed you - thus reanimating you.

The plot-twist is that the greater pride demon needs your body to "remain undetected" until you reach a certain level of power and influence. Its plan is the long con.

At this point the greater pride demon will attempt to wrestle control over your body.
