He looks like Legolas, from what I read.
"He was vain, with curling blond hair and brilliant green eyes." Indeed

He definitely sounds hot lol. Yup, sounds like a Thedosian Legolas.
Watch as the book proves it was a myth and he lasts two minutes.
Garahel: That doesn't usually happen...
Garahel's lover: What...the two minutes of actual sex or the thirty minutes of crying afterwards?
Garahel: ...Both i guess, so do i pay you now or something?
Also, dwarven Templar!!! Yay!!! Now, if only we get an elven templar too!

We almost had one of those...once, but that was LONG AGO!
sounds a lot like a handwave to get griffons in future games
That wouldn't surprise me. We have to ask how he was from his human mage lover.
Anyway trust only in Amazon as few hours ago I read some stuff that turned out to be pure bull****.
He had a human mage lover??!! OH THE SCANDAL!
The preview jumps around for different people. Usually everyone gets the first chapter, others get more. I myself got up to page 64.
You lucky bastard, you wouldn't so happened to have a link would you?

It's because I'm a member on Amazon, so my preview is unique to me. Even if I linked you to the page, you wouldn't see what I see.

Oh. So you pay a fee per month and it gives you special benefits or you have an account on amazon?
So, maybe Caronel was recruited in Orlais. Like he is from Ferelden, Cailan died and then Caronel was made a Warden in Orlais.

Yes please, do want that in the future games.
Anyway, anyone here has learned anything more about the rumor of "certain warden" character dying? or it's just a rumor. I really hope it's just a rumor I rather like that character. ![]()
I'm not sure. I mean, I liked the parts I read just fine but there seems to be a major lapse in the lore already.
If Caronel truly became a Warden after Cailan's death, in the early days of the Blight, then who recruited him? We were the only Wardens left in Ferelden.
And where was he while we were gathering armies?
I hope this won't turn into another "ME Deception".
Actually Riordan was still wandering around Ferelden trying to gather support for a while before he got locked up by Howe. And he could easily have been recruited in Orlais: "I'm from Ferelden and became a Warden in the early days of the Blight" != "I was in Ferelden when I was recruited".
Also, someone posted that Garahel's sister froze some griffon eggs in stasis in time.
I'm not sure how truthful that is tough.
If so, I WANT ONE!
Fuckin KNEW there was some hidden grove hiding the last Griffons in Thedas. You find them in a side quest in Inquisition and have the option of using them for exclusively for the Inquisition or giving them to the Grey Wardens.

There are no flying mounts in Inquisition, so I doubt we'll be able to use them ourselves. They're still eggs, after all, meaning that it'd take a while to raise and train them.

Eh make up some bullshit about how young Griffons have underdeveloped wings and can't fly until adulthood but can still be rideable.

I doubt they'd be ready in time.
I expect to see them in DA4 or some DLC, if anywhere.

This was the first thing that came to mind for me too, makes sense.

Did they said already no Griffons in dai?

I thought the same perhaps in the future DA games, but honestly thirteen isn't much to reproduce the entire race it'll be a while unless there are magic involved. Regardless at least we know there are a chance for the Griffons will rise again.
Personally, I did not like Garahel. He acts almost exactly like Maric and Alistair. He even named his griffin "Crookytail"
...They just can't help themselves, can they?

Since he has a flying mount I'm expecting a stupid swooping pun down the line.

Makes you almost glad he's four centuries dead.

Did he say he was recruited in Fereldan or that he was just from Fereldan and just got recruited after Cailan's death? If it's the later, it could just mean he left Fereldan after Cailan's death and just joined the Grey Wardens in another country.
