I'll use the Brit from the trailers. I know he isn't Nathaniel Howe's actor, but he kind of sounds like him.
Which voice actor/actress do you think you'll be using for your first Inquisitor?

I'm not sure yet. I'm not particularly sure about either voice for male Inquisitors - not particularly sold on the British voice for trailers, and if Jon Curry's going to sound like Marcurio in Skyrim, I'm not sure that fits a qunari. (Assuming Dorian isn't race-gated against qunari, which, if he is, all bets are off anyway.)

Correct. Each gender has two VAs, one with an American accent and one with a British accent. These voices are available to all races, with the American one being the default for Dwarf and Qunari and the British one the default for Elf and Human.

I imagine Curry's voice will be dropped an octave or something. Heh. Like the guy who did Sten's voice also did the PC "Wise" Human voice, who was totally wimpy in comparison.

I admit there's an appeal to playing a human character with an American accent, but I haven't decided yet.

American male accent, because America.

Jon Curry for my Dalish mage because I preferred the American elves from Origins.
Harry Hadden-Paton for my qunari warrior and dwarven rogue because I want to hear a British accent from something other than a human.

Probably the British dude and gal.
I find American accents unsettling in quasi-medieval settings. Just doesn't feel right (and I'm American).

Modern British accents are just as out of place as modern American accents. Nobody in DA talks like they're actually from the medieval period.

Harry Hadden-Paton, and second Sumalee Montano.
IF I feel up to a third playthrough, Jon Curry. By then I've likely had enough.

Harry Hadden-Paton and Sumalee Montano. Alix and Jon are both very talented but I prefer my Inquisitors to have a rough mature edge to their voices.

For my surface dwarven warrior probably Sumalee Montano, mostly because I like her work on Guild Wars 2.

Seriously, in Mass Effect as well as DAII I based the choice on which gender I want to play first on the Voice actors. But how am I going to decide this time around with so many awesome voice actors! I am seriously torn.
I probably will go with Sumalee Montano or the British guy's voice, as I find deeper voices both in man and women very sexy

I just love Sumalee's voice, so I'm leaning toward her for my first playthrough as smart, sultry rogue Trevelyan. Me second playthough as eccentric, wild child mage Trevelyan will use Alix. And then, if I decide I like Dorian enough to do my Levallan playthrough as a male... this, exactly :
"Let those who would destroy us.... step into the light!~"
UNF, YES PLEASE
Don't care if it's weird for an elf to have a British accent - his voice is just ![]()
