I would rather volunteer to clean up rachni feces.

 

The scorpion w/ incendiary is a riot on this kit.  Just attempted Cerb/Glacier/Gold and got raped on W10 devices by the usual suspects aka two dragoons + phantom lol.  No need for geth scanner on this guy, and AC5 helps negate the scorpion's relative ineffectiveness against Atlases.

Good to know.  I guess it would help to study the wave budgets... not that it matters much, as my other three Glacier attempts failed pretty miserably (W6, W8, and W9 - 1 failed package run, 1 caught in turrent kill zone, and 1 usual suspect phantom death).  With AC5 I could pretty reliably get through the first six waves in about 15:00 without using any consumables.  But forcing spawns and nuking them consistently proved to be my downfall.  I would end up with split atlases, and eventually get flushed into an area with turrets, phantoms and/or dragoons, which made for a really bad day.  Mucho respect for you guys that can pull off the sub-20 glacier solos - I certainly cannot at this time, lol.

If this is the case, I may continue my new found addiction by posting links to solos that aren't speedruns, but unique in the sense that the kit/weapon combination is different than the other entries for a given character (e.g. flamerless GT w/ spitfire, for example).

Would these types of posts be welcome even though they are somewhat contradictory to the title of the thread (i.e. not competetive speedruns)?

In general, yes, videos do take priority over screenshots, and I will remove screenshots or duplicates if a video submission is made. Just be mindful that the records for each platform will always have a reserved spot regardless of whether they are screenshots or videos.

 

That aside, there is one situation where I make an exception -- I dislike the idea of deleting faster screenshots on console to add slower PC videos. This is mostly because PC already somewhat dominates this archive (at least, 63% or so of the entries are PC) and it's much easier to record on PC, so I don't want to make the barrier for entry even more difficult for console players.

N7 Destroyer w/ Spitfire

 

FUN!!!

 

Was trying to find a use for this weapon and ended up completing the solo linked below.  AFAIK the first recorded Destroyer/Spitfire gold solo?  Not fast enough to make the top ten, but posting anyways in the event it should replace one of the four Destroyer/Typhoon/London/Reaper duplicates.

Motivation:  People don't like the Spitfire on the Destroyer because of the movement penalty - I wanted to show that this weapon is both fun and effective on the Destroyer regardless.  Movement penalty is easy to negate - just switch to secondary weapon and take off devastator mode.  I do this primarily for objectives, but also for major movements from one defensive location to another.

Hurricane & Acolyte are weird to me because I usually use Talon or Raider on her. The time is similar to my Talon run but I also switched to Damage Taken evo on AF rank 5, I bet that made a difference. Not that I could ever get enough of using her anyway, but that's obviously my excuse for what will almost certainly be a redo of my Talon run.

Turret is basically pointless, it's only good to distract mooks sometimes, you can even skip it for more fitness. The bread and butter is Cryo, Arc shot, Incinerate, reapeat and since Arc pistol is unbelievably OP it's not too hard.
